I watched this video 2 years ago, I might have done a bad job the first time as the light failed again, I just rewatched is video and did a bit of soldering and boom, it's working again.

Tip for 2014 W212: If you re-solder the smd components, do not use/use carefully isopropanol to clean the flux residues. A small amount of isopropanol dissolved the glue and the plastic popped off from the light body, leaving some cracks to the plastic when it was bending a bit! A horrible job to glue it back! Well, this would be a way to dissassemble the whole light for a proper repair. I'm just wondering would other solvents (windshield washer, car washing solvents, ...) break the glue seam and let water in? Also, remove all of the lead free solder with braid and use leaded solder and flux to solder the components back.
