I worked as mechanic at a mercedes workshop in germany, this is sure no the way how somebody should do a oil change...... by bumping out the oil u will never get all of the oil out. Every good workshop will get oil out of the oil plug and then pull the oil filter out and let all the all the oil drain out. Thats no hate i just want to help and thats no good way to do it. And sry for my bad english im from germany.

Appreciate your comment and do agree with you draining the oil from the drain bolt is better but personally I have no issue changing it from the top. I did change my oil in the past from the drain bolt and still got the same amount of oil out as the extractor from the top, I don't think whatever negligible amount of oil left in the the engine due to the extraction method makes a difference, you'll never get all the oil out to the last drop. And I'm sure since you worked at a Mercedes shop you're aware that extracting the oil from the dipstick is how Mercedes does it and written in their shop manuals.

Then i have to burst your bubble... I am from germany and atleast in norther part of germany every dealer does this.. The Oil stick goes to the lowest point you get even more out than with the drain plug which has a little ridge on the inside. You can even suck out the Oil filter housing which would never come out from the bottom as it lays flat inside the oilfins in the oil filter casing. This method is right but needs more brain Only hot oil Only after driving immediately First filter out Then Suckining the oil out and then take the snorkel and snorkel up the filter housing which you removed previously while waiting for the vacuum.. You want the 7l to 9l big block oil changer for this job

I will not patronize that shop or mechanic either. Kind of "no-quality" service done to the vehicle. Did not even care to clean the surfaces of the engine especially when pouring oil into the engine. How you see the condition of the engine before oil change is done the same way it will be hand over to the customer.

Any help please.. Cls x218 350cdi 4matic 2014 At my VIN card have: 13A OIL OFFSET AMOUNT +1300 ML OIL What does that actually mean? How much oil should be added 8l or 8+1.3=9.3l? When I put 8 liters in the engine my dipstick is at maximum. I called several service centers, some say 8, others 8.5, the third 9 liters... What you think?

Not sure, haven't seen that offset amount before. But best procedure if your car asks for 8l, then start with 7l then check the dipstick and add more oil as needed to get it to the full mark. Very normal to see some variation in the amount of oil needed on different oil changes on the same engine.

Great question 🤔, oil flows a lot easier when its warm so you'll drain more oil easier when the engine is warm. But I don't know how much heat the plastic hose can handle, I wouldn't stick that pump into the engine at engine's operating temperature. Personally, I only have the car running for 5 mins before an oil change.

Best thing is to see what's recommended in your owner's manual since it might recommend different oils depending on the country. My dealership used both 0w-40 Mobile and 5w-40 MB oil on my car in the past. I'm not an oil expert so I don't know which is better, but I currently use the 0w-40 Mobile on this car.
