I've come to love and adore aurora and I can't even describe it. she's just so natural and almost otherworldly like she's a being from another planet or dimension that's just been sent to earth to be here and teach people. I dont know I just.. every time I see or hear her I can't help but just stop and listen and feel peaceful or laugh

She’s such a deep person…really thoughtful and careful in the way she thinks and words things and expresses herself and she’s not afraid to talk about her oddities or weirdnesses in a way that’s both positive and helpful.

I'm a 70+ year old fart from Iceland and I still manage to recall memories from my childhood where my imagination RULED (8-year old, with a toy car on a gravel heap, creating an entire world of difficult mountain roads)! I have occasionally met people that are still able to unashamedly and joyfully allow their childhood imagination abilities to play a role in their adult lives. To some they come across as childish, but to most others they are simply incredibly creative. Aurora is one of the pinnacles of this phenomenon, Bergen accent and all (my native language is arguably the oldest Norwegian dialect, and we call her charming accent being "gormælt").

Also Aurora is growing older, as everyone else and so also she is changing. By now she has become much more comfortable performing on stage, just watch some more recent footings from last couple of months. But of course, Aurora is Aurora and will stay the wonderful human being she is. And she is getting more and more wide recognition. Latest prove is that Hans Zimmer called her for his Frozen Planet 2 soundtrack. I've no doubts that Aurora will continue to be a source of good for us, living on this planet.

Excellent. Now you really have to watch the HAIK documentary with her (and the concert she did during the same day (HAIK concert) for a select little group of friends and fans who shared how Aurora's music had affected them in life.

Aurora has really been through a lot. She lost a friend in a car accident. She wrote a song for him and sang it at his funeral. Song: "Why did you have to go" kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZ-QlYCul66kgKM She lost another friend in a massacre in Norway in which a Nazi killed over 80 people with firearms and bombs. Including many children. She also wrote a song for the bereaved. Song: "Little boy in the grass" kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5-cpaaFa9WBh7M

She also lost her Godfather on Christmas Eve when she was 11. She was very close to him. She lost two friends who commit suicide, and her boyfriend was killed at the Utøya Massacre in 2011. She was just 15. The song "Little boy in the grass" is about him. And on top of that - Victoria's boyfriend died from a rare heart failure. Going through all these things, AND being an empath like Aurora is... it's not difficult to understand why she is so good at feeling other people's pain. She may seem fragile, but she is so strong and amazing.

The school friend was a girl, just turned 18. It was her mother that asked Aurora to sing in the funural. After they asked if she could record it for them, and the mother put it open out on Facebook and it spread.

@@i_d_i_e_h it is confirmed that he was her boyfriend? The only thing I have seen is that they were good friends. 2 friends suiside? I have heard that a good friend of the family did, but not 2 friends... Do you have a link or anything I can learn more....?

I really love that you’re so genuine in your reaction videos 👍 Aurora is a very unique and wonderful human being, my soul healer ❤️ It’s quite special that she likes to touch other people (quickly), since she doesn’t like to be touched herself. She doesn’t like to hug either. Her sister Miranda is a makeup artist, and has been with Aurora on tour for years, but I don’t think she does it anymore because she now has a family. Aurora liked having her sister doing her makeup, because she didn’t like other people touching her face. Her other sister is a clothing designer, and she designs a lot of Auroras clothing often together with Aurora. Aurora also like to buy clothes from second hand stores and antique shops. If you have the time I highly recommend reacting to the documentary “Once Aurora”, there you get to see how much she has to do with her music and things she struggles with. At least at that time. Now she’s become more confident with herself especially on stage💕

Hello there. Great that you react to this interview. Often in her interwiev she is more quirky. Always funny, unpredictable and wise, i love it. I think she is an empath because she is very sensitive to see other people which are struggling with themself and she is very kean to other persons with problem.

When she talks about getting sick in 2016, I remember her that year. I saw her in Washington D.C. Oct. 31 and she was losing her voice. She had been sick but she didn't want to cancel the concert. There is a whole documentary called "Once AURORA" in which you see her traveling, giving concerts, and trying to manage through her career. At that point it was the beginning of her career, towards the end of 2016 where she was questioning retiring. She would have panic attacks before and after concerts and while meeting fans.. And just like you Dominika, she also doesn't like to be touched! She rather hold someone's hands, instead of hugging. She has changed so much since then. She says that she enjoys singing on stage more than before, I hope she does. I do feel though that if she does become extremely famous and recognizable everywhere she will retire then. She once said that "Fame is strange and unnatural."

Aurora is endlessly fascinating. Watch the HAIK documentary and you will be even more impressed by her unique personality. She is intelligent, wise, very funny, quirky, caring and a little risque at times (Aurora looks so innocent it comes as a bit of a shock when she swears). Aurora mentioned her sisters and with them it is very much "Team Aurora", as Miranda is her make up artist and Viktoria designs Aurora's costumes. You mentioned honesty and Aurora is always honest. In another interview, the interviewer remarked how Katy Perry had tweeted about how impressed she was by one of Aurora's videos. The interviewer then said "You must be a big fan of Katy Perry and would love to work with her.", Aurora's reply "No.". As you said, it is fantastic that Aurora has found what she wants to do in life and we get to benefit from her marvelous talent.

you mentioned towards the beginning of her being "quirky". No question there. But her quirkiness is somehow magnetic and intriguing. I think, in part anyway, is that she retains some very childlike qualities ( while at the same time being mature, introspective, and empathetic). 1) her open-minded and non-judgemental curiosity about things. 2) her vulnerability. 3) her unvarnished way of speaking directly about things without regard to if what she says will land well. Whatever it is, it seems clear that she hears and marches to a wonderfully different drumbeat than the rest of us...

The HAIK episode with aurora is really good, a longer interview driving around with a few surprises and performances ending in a concert at the end. It is quite long however!

Aurora, like all of us, has grown over the years. Early on, she hated performing. Later (around the time of this interview), she was more accepting of it, but still wasn't crazy about it. Flash forward to today, and she absolutely loves performing and even looks forward to it. Watch any of her recent shows on KZbin, and she has an absolute blast, and loves interacting with her fans. I think the time off from touring during the pandemic not only allowed her to reset, but I think it made her appreciate performing even more. She came back more energized than ever. I think the same thing happened to Nightwish and Floor (and surely others). It's very fascinating to watch her evolution as an artist. We're lucky that we live in a time when it's so well documented.

Nordic people almost always speak the truth without fear of reaction. If you don't like my opinion, okay. go away and leave me. I'm not hurting you. It's just my opinion. POINT! The best way we humans should treat each other. Aurora is wonderful. She does just that in a humorous way.
