That terrace behind the goal is enormous. I love old stadiums.

I remember going there 1988. Bolton. 6,000 in ground for promotion game in Div 4. Only 2 parts of ground open then

@@guyneeve9365 When did Bolton move from their old ground and what's the biggest crowd you were at when it was on the go.?
@guyneeve93654 жыл бұрын
@@ewanmacfarlane9195 no idea. I just remember Bolton had lower end of John Ireland stand and ran on pitch towards Wolves fan on South Bank. Life was so much simpler and more fun then!

Was there in 1987 with Swansea in the old fourth division. We had a great following that day on the big bank behind the goal. Wolves thumped us 4-0. Bull hatrrick!

One of my first memories as a Wolves fan. Still amazes me we could make such a noise with a stand so far from the pitch.

Remember going in south bank in a FA cup tie maybe early eighties following Norwich that terrace was absolutely massive. A 1-1 draw I think Kevin Keelan played a blinder that day happy days

I was at that match and remember very disappointed after being one up. It was the only time I've ever been to Wolves

John Richards goal class. Only one England cap alas, should have had more but Wolves weren't shall we say fashionable. That stand is half a mile away from the pitch & no substitute for the old one that had character & instantly recognised as The Wolves.

Why did they build the new stand so far from the pitch??
@godsstruggler87832 жыл бұрын
I was there in the very stand that cost the same as some players' monthly salary. A lot can happen in 40 years and I think a lot will happen in the next 40 years that would have us yearning for today. I highly doubt that there will be a professional game left, except for a world league where only the cream can play.

They started building it before they had knocked down the old one.

It was the first step rebuilding Molineux and in the same time moving the whole stadium more to the east. Today also the other three stands got rebuild - a really clever plan ;)

Wrexham were unlucky. They were clearly the better side here and by a long way.
