Here some cards you could add. Null brooch is a artifact negate. Malfegor makes opponent sacrifices creatures. Shenanigans destroy artifacts and can come back. Rotting regisaur is a great beat stick. Reforge the soul, wheel of fate, dragon mage are nice wheel effects. Theater of horrors is like having a second hand. Songs of the damned, skirge familiar, cabal ritual, and bog witch gives you a lot of mana. Grisly survivor, horrors of the broken lands, and flameblade adept get big when you cycle or discard cards. These are cards you can add to the deck. Have a nice weekend guys. Tribe scout out.

With grimoire of the dead and chainer you get an army of haste creatures. Sure there's a chance it'll get countered but the risk reward there is worth.

Regarding Flayer of the Hatebound: He doesn't even really interact with Chainer all that well. Creatures cast with his ability enter the battlefield from the stack. Presumably, you have some other reanimation effects in the deck, so he's not useless, but he's still awkward with Chainer himself.

I've only played with this deck a handful of times and twice I've won with grimoire of the dead/flayer of the hatebound combo. It's awesome. I also added balthor the defiled to work with this as well since it can also work with warstorm surge. Champion of stray souls also works with this combo. It's deadly. My favorite additions that I didn't already think of were Cavalier of flame and Perpetual timepiece. Even in my wins with this deck i had over a dozen cards exiled from my graveyard. feelsbad

Flayer/Surge can be good with mass reanimating for sure. We cut the mass reanimation for cheaper one-off reanimation it seems

Im going with garna the blood flame, bag of holding, and inverter of truth all for similar effects to perpetual time piece and shadow of the grave. With this deck im literally just putting in every madness card. Dont care if its actually good its just to keep tapping anje and discarding and getting glint horn triggers and maby put a madness card on the field now and then when my hands all lands. Molten vortex and tectonic reformation give all lands cycling and turns lands into shocks to just keep the deck going and going.

would'nt Feldon make a great add to this deck actually? I mean..it's in the Ghired deck, but i somewhat see use for it in an Anja deck as well. Btw, late to the party, I picked this deck up yesterday ;). I am in love with Faceless Menace and Primal Genesis and upgraded them both to make em more consistent. Might do the same for Anja.

Tortured Existence would have more synergy in the deck to recover creatures. Also did you guys plan on doing a separate deck tech for Greven, Predator Captain?

I'd keep Meteor Golem personally. It's great in Rakdos reanimator. You REALLY need a way to deal with problematic enchantments if you don't want to straight up lose to Rest in Peace or Leyline of the Void, and options a very limited in these colors. Why not have a recurrable one?

We weren't trying to make a combo deck and 5 mana is a lot for a reanimation spell.

Some interesting thoughts, the only thing is I would of gone for either Urza’s Saga or Onslaught Mono colored cycling lands before touching the ones from Amonkhet. Actually, I may of also tried to find room in the budget for Fire Covenant as a instant speed Wrath-esque effect as well. Otherwise good video.

She is a glass cannon, if you devote a lot of resources into casting her and she keeps dying you will have a hard time. I think we would trim on the number of crazy targets for her ability and stick to tutors. Maybe with a reanimation theme too. She can definitely be strong

What I've done with mine is make it to where I can get her out turn two and with turn 3 possibly win if I have master of cruilties in my hand

I think yall got aeon engine wrong. It's meant to deny someone a turn. I agree it doesnt belong in the deck, but I figure it has a place in some deck, like a bear hug somerhing or another that rewards players who you like and punishes the ones who arent playing ball.

We mostly meant it's just bad in this deck. Joe was down on it because you can deny someone a turn but it's pretty harmless if you're just trying to have fun with it. The best would be mechanized production using it to take every other turn and denying the poor dude/dudette across from you all of their turns

Synergy aside, we think it's much too slow by itself to reliably get the last ability to go off, and you have to pay precious cards to get there

I think you made a mistake with Overseer of the Damned. That card is a win con when used with Warstorm Surge.
