He did say at the start that Merciless Storm was the main reason he got a 3k anyway. Ruin wouldnt have done much, no gens had any real progress or would have been finished before he arrived if he had Pop. Pain Resonance might have made a difference, especially as it might have glowed up that one hook.

Samee, i went against a doctor with tinkerer, this perk and the twins skillcheck perk. I don’t remember the name lol but it was pretty hard going against it. But after one time i was able to get all the skillchecks so a lot of survivors can adapt to these perks

I am about 50% sure it works( I did not have a friend to try it out). I tried this build quite a lot, and when I go check the gen progress blocked by merciless storm, the gens lose way too much progress compared to other killers. However, by stacking 2 progress losing add on, survivor will constantly wake up due to failed skill check, making the add on useless.

I don't believe it acts as missing a normal skill check, I ran a survivor meme build with the Jonah perk, corrective action I think it's called where another player missing a skill check will count as hitting it and it didn't work on merciless storm during the ring chapter.

This video shows my least favourite aspect of the new haddonfield: the hooks are so damn hard to see. With no line of sight blockers in the main area it's rare to get an aura reading on a hook there, and the whole map is so murky that hooks easily blend in with shadows and trees and are practically impossible to see. I like to keep the look of the game pure and not mess with brightness settings because I do feel it's a bit of a grey area in terms of cheating (since you need an external program to change them), but if I keep playing killer on this godforsaken map I may just have to.

As a doc main myself I really felt the part where Otz is asking how they did the interaction while shocked, have at least one thing like that per game happen, usually with a window where they scream like almost a full second before and still get the vault, feels bad man.

Just zoom around the map yoinking survivors while they're trying to work on generators, and if you're lucky, you'll be able to power up Devour Hope without needing to hit them and give it away

Seeing this perk makes me think of a build on doc with Dead Man's Switch, Deadlock, Unnerving Presence, and Merciless Storm with both add-ons that increase your terror radius when you have static blast. Merciless Storm stops survivors just before a gen gets done, deadlock stops any close gen from getting done, and dead man's will instantly force people off the gen if you static blast them off the gen.

Yeah the Feng was definitely suspicious. During the 2.5 seconds of Carter's Spark stunning you, you're prevented from doing anything beaides running or touching exit gates. Feng somehow was able to still use her flashlight, and additionally, she hit a blind on Otz while Doc's face was buried in the wall with none of it facing her or the house.

The blind is normal stuff, when a killer drops a survivor, they do a lil animation but you blind them by pointing at the same place as always (where their head usually is). If you see some survivor gameplay (like no0b3's or ayrun) this is something really common to do with flashlights

After Sadako's PTB release, this was the first build I tried on doctor as soon as I saw how Merciless Storm worked. Back then, none of these modifiers such as Unnerving Presence affected Merciless storm (including Madness) and I was hella dissapointed. Did they tweak it in a recent patch?

Try Call of Brine as your 4th perk (with Dis / UP / MS), I personally had a quite good experience with that build, even against "meta Survivors" on a good variety of maps. If you also happen to have some Iri Queens and range increase add-ons, the build becomes surprisingly potent.

I have used a doc build recently thats devour hope, NOED, fire up, and thrill of the hunt, you might be able to replace TOTH with undying or something, but its really strong, if they get the devour, you still have noed left at the end to crutch up, and the info on the totems as well as break time extension is really helpful in my games, it would be cool if you want to test it or try it out and see how it goes

Saw Demi's video on this and it really is a lot of fun. Can't seem to get distressing in my webs yet so I am just prestiging until III 50. I want to use distressing with some other perks too like Coulrophobia and other terror radius perks. Huntress Lullaby is just the cherry on top and it's very hard for survivors to micro that if they don't have builds for totem finding. I really get a kick out of seeing their silly madness 3 run, and hiding in corners trying to snap out of it. Also, you can cheese distressing with some of his addons that make the terror radius bigger when static charged is full, along with the iridescent add-ons to spread the shock therapy charges. Sloppy butcher and blood echo could make countering deadhard easier along with healing slowdowns and constant skillcheck hell. Fuck I love the doctor lol. Here I am, a rando, giving tips to Otz

Demi tried this build but with Overcharge instead of Distressing (which he used add-on to simulate). It worked ten times better. And basically it worked like a Ruin where he would Overcharge a gen, Survivors would fuck up, he would Overcharge again, etc... and basically the combo Lullaby + Overcharge repetitively would just bring some 90% gens back to 0%. And Merciless would tell him which gens to target.

As someone who plays doctor a good amount, I felt everything during this game. The missed hooks cause of body blockers, the shock misses, the immersers, and how much dead hard really screws over his main anti-loop strategy. The one thing doctor really has going for him is information and messing with survivors skill checks. I can, with little effort, force a 3gen because doctor can kick people off gens and force them to run far away to try and heal without me knowing. Constantly keeping madness ii and iii is necessary, but very effective in getting people to let a gen go and move somewhere you want them to. My personal favorite build requires making my terror radius as big as I can and then capitalizing on that cause doctor isn't ever sneaking up on people.

Doc Main here (give or take a few hundred hours) I’m definitely going to give this a shot, I didn’t know that Merciless stacked on Doc’s madness with the skillcheck. Secondary Suggestion, I like running Iron Maiden on Doc, as people tend to hop in a locker to avoid the Big Shock. They pop out, get exposed, and you see their location. I would suggest adding a regression perk though? If you’re running Merciless, Pain Res could be nuts on this, even Ruin or deadlock as well. Good God… Doc with Merciless Storm, Pain Resonance, Ruin and Deadlock.

Three problems with this perk: 1. If a survivor misses a skillcheck, they won't miss any others for more regression 2. Survivors can hit all the skillchecks anyways and render your perk meaningless 3. It's once per gen, which means Deadlock is just straight up better.

Deadlock is a natural slowdown perk. That only works after a gen is lost. Merciless storm is a risky perk with a big payoff if you can get it to activate.
