Going in, we know we’re going to need a replacement housing for the lower unit on our Bravo 2. However, we may be able to extract and reuse some of the internal components.
John will show you how to remove the prop and drain the lower unit oil first. Then, we’ll have to go to some extreme lengths to remove the bearing carrier. Next, we’ll remove the pinion gear and the bearings.

Hi John! Great episode! Had the same issue on my 75 Hp Yamaha 2 stroker. The the bearing carrier nut and carrier were totally stuced in the housing. If your housing didn`t had the crack had you used a heat to get the carrier out?
