MerCruiser outdrive 1.65 ratio "gear ratio confirmation"

I have a Bravo 2 Outdrive and the SN is not readable. Is there a method I can use to confirm the gear ratio without taking the drive off the boat?

On some (not all) engines you can spin the crankshaft with the harmonic balancer using a breaker bar. That would spend a U joint the same way I did in the video.

You change your gear ratio can you change your size prop that you can spin they told me that if I went from the 1.5 to the 1.65 I could spin a bigger prop with a small block V8 is this true and get more Toppin

Hi, I have a question, I have a Mercruiser 5.0L 305 v8 and I have a Bravo 1 installed instead of bravo 3 that it is the original came with the boat; how I can check if the engine match with the outdrive Bravo 1, I am feeling that it is not working properly? what do you think?
