I'm hoping to visit Japan this year and was thinking of staying not too far from Haneda Airport. Thank you for covering this, very good information and you have a great channel too 👍

Thank you. If it can make your travels a little easier, we are all winners. It is close enough to the airport for convenience, and with the provided shuttle services, and Otorii train station just short walk away is great if you want to enjoy the city, without being in the heart of it.

There appears to be a lot of Aussies here right now… if it wasn’t for the rain this afternoon, I was thinking of doing another short video with a walk to the local Fuji Supermarket and the railway crossing that affords some amazing views of the Keikyū line trains, plus just walking through the local streets.

@@ausflyer I’m only here for the night as I’m on QF60 tomorrow night after having spent over 2 weeks in Japan, so tomorrow I’m spending time exploring locally (and maybe Yokohama). Where is this crossing that you speak of?

@Theozpilot93 I was meant to be in Sapporo for the next 3 days, but after feeling unwell whilst in Osaka I decided to just chill out here in Tokyo to recover before getting the day flight home (QF26) this weekend. When you walk out the front door, head to the right, at the next intersection turn right (Juicy Burger which I have never seen it open) and walk via the lane under the roadway overpass. There is a crossover walkway which takes you to the platforms of Anamori-inari Station. As the trains come past you are at ground level only 3-4 ft away. Sure, they aren’t Shinkansen trains, but pretty cool nonetheless. You can jump on the train there and head towards Shinagawa for connections to the other areas. Enjoy.

@Theozpilot93 oh, and this may seem random depending on where in AU you call home, or if you have done much U.S. travel, but there is a Sizzler restaurant in Yokohama… ie Cheese Toast… lol

Just finished watching it. Wow!! Love your comments--organised chaos re the Shibuya Scramble pedestrian crossing. The train system is so well signed with English included. Stations so well organised. Not just the underground but the above ground system as well. Are the busses co-ordinated with the trains? Oh for a public transport network like that. Dream on Melbourne!!! One comment I have to make…the electronic signage everywhere!!! I have a feeling you have travelled there many times. I am appreciative that you dont travel extravagantly but show how to move around on a reasonable budget. Regards as always, Les in Melbourne.

@@lesliewentworth9678 that was actually the first time I have travelled extensively on the trains. Previous to this it was only local trips, or only between the hotel & airport. For everything else prior it was by Bus, or Limousine Bus as they call it in Japan.
