Nice and well done video for the fluid change out for that lower unit and engine oil, filter, gas filter. Have a Ranger 223FC Pontoon being build with the 150 HP Mercury so the information is straight forward with no filler on the process. We shall see how easy it do such when the time comes at 100 hours, but doable. Thanks

Make sure you change your water separator during this service and check for indication of water in the fuel in the separator. Check your primer bulb to make sure you have good fuel pressure for startup. I always put oil in the new filter to prevent dry startup. Same idea as when you change oil in a vehicle.

Awesome video, any success with replacing spark plugs? The bottom plug is less than kind to me on my 150 when trying to gain access and makes it impossible to put a new one in. Any help is appreciated.

I used a stubby ratchet to get the bottom plug

Might try a stubby ratchet like was mentioned, a plus a "wobbly" joint too. It works the same as a driveshaft uni-joint.

Having electrical issues, my 150 keeps draining my battery. Do you know why?

Is it the motor draining the battery or something else? Also could disconnect the battery and see if it still drains on its own to see if maybe the battery doesn't hold a charge
