Guessing 65 to 70 mph. Going fast is fun but as I am approaching 70 years old I limit going 80 for maybe 5 minutes and then slow down on my super charged jet ski. It's a blast in the Columbia River. Time seems to pass slower for me at a higher rate of speed. Stupid hurts 😪

As hard as it may seem to believe... where I grew up... (many... many... moons ago)... running an outboard motor before 7am was considered a no no. If you did... you were quickly found out. My have times sure have changed... eh? Sounds like now... you can get started a lot earlier to get a jump on some decent pre-morning bites!

Boats are always fuel hogs. I once figured my mpg on my jon boat with a 25hp 4 stroke merc and i think it was like 12mpg at 24mph. I just weigh the gas tank before and after a long run and used my gps to figure how far i went.

Most of the time that's what you want out of an outboard. You spend so much time running constant revs drone is annoying/ fatiguing. That said I believe these have a valued exhaust with a sport model Ike the V10s, not sure if this was with it opened or closed.
