Just had a 9.9 EFI ProKicker installed on my Targa 18V. 8 hours labor at my shop. No way I could beat that myself even though I could definitively do it myself. That included remote shift/throttle and steering linked to big engine. Wish I had a video of the install to post to help others though.

@@mrselfdefeat1128 I did buy the 9.9 Mercury long shaft. Keep one thing in mind if you link it into/with your main steering, it gets stuck sometimes when you make sharp turns. Other than that, it’s worked out fine. I just don’t get out enough. I don’t like being on the boat alone.

Thanks for the video. Mercury dealer stated the motor no longer comes with bolt kit or fuel line. Looking for thread size, size of bolt in your kit. It also looks like you only use 2 of the transom bolts instead of 4. Any reason why you did not use all 4 bolts?

You can use 4 bolts through the transom, instead of the top bolts, that what they intended by nor giving you the upper thunb screw bolts, I just perfered to use the thumb screw bolts due to larger diameter! Thanks for watching

Have you had any problems with water leaking in through the holes? The mechanic at the boat shop I go to didn’t want to permanently mount my kicker because he was worried about this??

Hasn't leaked a drop! Use ultra black , or ultra gray permatex, marine silicon sucks, they shouldn't even be selling that garbage! Hey thanks for watching

You know those deck screws are a square bit style head right? There are not stripped, you just needed a square bit to remove those. Just a heads up incase you want to remove other ones. You can find those square bits at any hardware store (Home Depot, Lowes, etc...)

No measure it out to clear the rear deck board and went to tap plastics and had one cut, pretty cheep

Get a water separator and 2 barbed nipples on it , I still need one , mercury one will mount in the well back there! Thanks for watching the video

Actually I was to heavy for it, lost over 80 lbs seems to be working better now, but definitely slow down even more with it in big wake especially around wake boats, can serve as a ejection seat if you don't!! Not sure I'd really recommend it! I'll try to get a video on it this spring after 1 year, and more weight loss!, Thanks for watching the videos

@nickthorng1743 I just installed a 20in on my v19 but I did it like factory and kept it above the deck and did thru bolts. Took me 2hrs start to finish. And I'll let Tracker guys know, there is or atleast was on mine a extra pickup line on my fuel tank. Has a plug in it and mercury has the fuel line with bulb that has the fitting to replace the plug.

I asked the service manager at my local Cabela's and he said that for my Pro Guide 175wt, I should use an extra long shaft, and I measured my transom at 24" where the motor will mount. I guess what I'm asking is, do you have good control and speed control?

Prop is right under the bottom line of the boat! 25" is perfect too
