when using smartcraft does your other gauges still work or are all the senders now just going to your smartcraft

Depends on what you have installed but normally the other gauges run as well and off a second set of senders. My boat (SeaRay 240) has trim, oil pressure, engine temp on separate gauges on separate senders.
