We have this 200 Suzuki on the back of our 20 foot blazer Bay We just hit 20 hours on it one of the local marinas wanted 800 to do the 20 hours service. I laugh my ass off we did it ourselves for just a little over 100 bucks. Our run great looks great. Sounds great. I like you said five year warranty

I also do all my services myself. Mine cost me about $200 and a hour or two.

Great Video and Details, i have a Century2600 center console and i just did the paper work for a Susuki350 Dual Prop should be ready in two weeks i cant wait to get it 😬🙏🏻 Thanks for the video

Warranty and cost on repower played a big role in my decision.

@@aryannaidu2281 we are commercial fish and crab people on the eastern shore. We have tried every outboard possible. We are getting 5000 hours out of suzuki outboards. It’s just tried and figured out. Your welcome.

Not 5 years if you're using it commercially like guiding etc. Better call suzuki first..

From experience that commercial vs not is really based on your relationship with the dealer.

I went from a merc to a Suzuki and couldn’t be happier, I have a friend that is a merc tech and has been racing mercs for 53 years now and he said that merc would be his last choice.

Are the motors using the same prop?

they were the same numbers, but the brands were different. used the manufacture prop that was recommend for the boat.

Mercury weighs their engine with no cowlings, shrouds and no fluids so the weight is probably alot closer than it looks.

Didn’t know that. Great info, I definitely couldn’t tell the difference in weight on the transom.

The speed performance means very little. It has everything to do with prop size and pitch. I have had numerous mercury and suzuki engines. I do trust suzuki more than mercury these days. I have the 300. And if your repowering the performance of the 200 was about the same on two of my center consoles. Save a little money.

@@johnboy5167 I have both engines on similar center consoles and they are very close in performance. I’ve spent the 43 thousand to find out.

I had an f 225 v6 4 stroke on my 7 metre ally boat top speed was around 42 knots and acceleration was reasonably good then l put VF 250 sho on the back and top speed is 50 knots and acceleration is much better so performance from my experience is not similar and a 200 4 cylinder wouldn't be any faster than my old f 225 actually it would probably be slower

@@johnboy5167 I’ve bought both 200 and 300 and they are close in performance. Both on 22 foot boats so you just don’t know anything about this obviously.
