I get tortured with this song 10+ times a day right now. I love this song and Christmas music in general, but this is the worst version of this song I've ever heard. You should feel bad. You've violated the original song in such a way that any sense of reverence, worship, or any real emotion is drained from it completely just so you could "re-imagine" it as a pop song. The musicianship is acceptable, but your singer doesn't even know how to pronounce "in excelsis deo" correctly. Choir directors teach you to say it like "eggshells" because it blends well when sung by a multitude. It just makes you sound ignorant when you do it solo. Just my opinion, of course, but this song grates on my nerves enough to make me want to track down who did it and blast them for it. I do hope it comes across more critical than rude. The producer should be blamed more than the band. A good producer would have picked up on these things and helped correct them.

Pete Rahn so your gonna blame him for saying “in excelsis deo” wrong but then your gonna day he should say eggshells instead? There both wrong you hypocrite. You say that your trying to be critical not rude, when all you are is rude. “You should feel bad” saying that to someone who made music telling them they should fell bad about what they created?! That rude! And who are you? I don’t see you making music or being a producer! So don’t tell them there doing there job wrong. And this isn’t pop at all-everything in the music is instruments! No auto effects at all! This doesn’t classify as pop at all. You should really educate your self and shut your rude mouth. Here’s a sayin for ya- “Don’t like it don’t listen!”
