Derek and Meredith kind of grew up together - they were both traumatised and very immature when they met, and they went through so much together and shared so much. And Derek was intense where Nick is more quiet and low-key. They are both wonderful people, it doesn't have to be better or worse.

The only times I saw sparks between hayes and mer was when she fell sick with covid and she needed help making a decision about a POA AND he told her to choose Someone who will choose her over and over again. The second time was when she was in limbo and he was talking to her about her daughter and telling her how much they need her. I really love him for her but Nick gives off more spark for sure

I agree... i do think it is sweet they meet up again and see there is still a connection years after, when they first created a fleating but significient connection, but were ships passing in the night.., and then years later by fate, or something run into each other and still have that spark, that connection that touched them in the first place, so they try as the setting and possibilities are better now, plus both having gone through the almost death that makes them grab on to life and hold on to the few happy and good things in life and not waste time... but at the same time took a few dates to see if it was real or just imaginative, before they drove head first into it... at the same time they proved in this episode that they can do brain sex as well, and come over it well, which was nice to see...

An unpopular opinion-I don't like this Nick, at all, and I never did, from the first time he showed up as a patient and asked to crawl into a hammock with Meredith-his doctor that he just met. It's creepy and weird and I don't like them together. Plus, why do the writers feel the need to always look for new potential love interests for Meredith? She was with DeLuca, they Brought Hayes into the picture, then broke her and Deluca off and kept hinting about her and Hayes and now this. Amelia and Link seemed stable and strong, but ultimately Amelia is a 40-something year old woman who jumps from relationship to relationship and has difficulty committing. People rooted for Link because they liked who Amelia became in the context of that relationship.

The writers basically watered down her personality to fit with Link, all she did was think about Link bc poor guy, he's perfect and stable, she should want to be with him. Also, may I remind you Link was the one who ended the relationship, not Amelia, so if you want to blame someone, blame the guy who takes a "no, i don't want to get married" as a deal breaker, bc Amelia clearly said she loves him and wants to be with him. She's not jumping from a relationship to another one, bc may I remind you again, time means nothing. Ppl can he heartbroken one day and be fine the next day, other ppl can be hearbroken for years. Amelia moves on quickly and she's not evil for that.

I'm sorry, not sorry, but please don't mess up the storyline with Amelia and Link. The writers are always making her run from her problems, just because she doesn't want to commit to Link. And she has a baby boy. Yet she wants to be in Minnesota flirting with Kai, while she has a whole family back home. So she can commit with someone else, but not the father of her child. It just urks me. *screams*

She was commited to Link, what are you talking about? She wanted to be a family with him as Scout, they agreed from the beginning that neither wanted to get married and later on Link changed his mind (and as any human, he has the right to do so), but he can't force her to change too. He was the one who broke up with her bc she didn't want to get married, how's it her fault that they are not longer together lmao.
