+Gabriel Castejon Beth and Chris were meant to share a life-changing kiss and probably end up together, but for the sake of repairing a damaged timeline, Plum was forced to alter the future and instead be the one to share a kiss with Chris, despite Beth being her friend, meaning she had to betray someone she cared about for the sake of the timeline they live in.

the emotion lord is trying to change his past so that he gets together with beth instead of plum. the concierge doesnt like him trying to change the past and is getting plum to try and fix things. the emotion lord is stronger than the concierge, so the concierge cant directly stop him. it all makes sense now...

But if everything was already written, then the emotion lord in the original universal spin, gets Beth, as the book says, and in this time he changed for Plum, so staying with Beth was what at the very first moment turned him in to the emotion lord, maybe what the Concierge wants is actually change the past, so Chris doesn't turn in to the emotion lord and maybe he can get access to some sort of infinite power, without being disrupting by the EL, but wants to make it look like everyone else is changing the future, but him.

My theory: Beth and Chris were never meant to be together. Instead it was suppose to be Chris and Plum. When Concierge says Plum's timeline has been damaged by a dangerous man. This dangerous man is the Emotion Lord who is trying to get his younger self (Chris) to get back together with Beth. Plum who justs wants to set her timeline's right, has the correct mindset, but does not want to hurt her friendship with Beth.

Aaron Gale This was the first episode I've err seen... I kept seeing the commercials on other videos & thought it was a kid's channel. Yesterday I was bored because my friends weren't online & I've been burning through all my Netflix series too fast... & fuck going outside, so I followed the ad link when i saw he word "hangover" in the channel name thinking that made it more ... Not kidish i guess. I was astonished to see that I actually enjoyed everything about this. The voice acting was really good, the animation & art style complimented each other & the tone of the story nicely, it was a true cartoon because it made me feel more like a kid, while having more adolescent themes & innuendo while keeping it tasteful enough that's I'd feel comfortable showing this to a 5 year old... Top notch! I plan on watching the series the whole way through being it is not hat cartoons should be... I look at who my friend's younger sibling's watch on cartoon network & nick & god is it horrible, this is what it should be.

Speculation Time!! So, It looks like the original chain of events has Chris and Beth together (yay!). However, we know from the Emotion Lord that some unknown bad thing happens to Beth later in the future. It is possible that Plum's purpose is to change the course of events so that Beth's life is saved, but at the cost that Chris and Beth never become a couple. I will weep unceasingly if Chris and Beth never have a relationship, although at the same time I would also weep unceasingly if anything happened to Beth. The feels in this story, though.

+Aqua Kitty I still think he's adorable, and I don't think you can really say they're giving you "Constant Catbug.". He has usually three lines tops in most episodes. And heck, he wasn't even in this episode! Average Moose That's a pretty good comparison. Although Gir was definitely a bigger presence in Invader Zim than Catbug is in BW. It just seems like people always go through the culture/counter-culture cycle. Some aspect of a show gets really popular, which then brings it to the attention of the counter-culture that don't like said aspect.

HeartofLion3 Ok maybe Beth isn’t being THAT obvious. But Chris does love her and shouldn’t just give up on her because he’s scared. It’s clear the whole Emotion Lord and Beth thing got him confused and stressed. He’s not making a move on Plum because he likes her, it’s because he doesn’t know what to do anymore. OH MY GOD THIS IS STARTING TO MAKE A LITTLE SENSE!!! We were introduced to the concierge back in season 1 episode 6, where the Emotion Lord said that he was a little guy that wears a suit and takes notes on everything he does. I originally thought that the concierge worked for the Emotion Lord, but now I believe that the EMOTION LORD WORKS FOR THE CONCIERGE! (also, the book he shows Plum is the same one he is writing in in episode 6) Something went terribly wrong in the future we discovered in episode 10, and now both the Emotion Lord and Plum are working together to fix this under the Concierge. I believe that Plum's mission is to keep Beth and Chris from getting together. This explains why Plum removed that seed from Chris that made him see through walls and desire Beth more. Also, I am willing to bet money that this dangerous man that has affected the timeline is Beth's father. We know he is up to no good and he is doing stuff right now. Either way, I believe Plum is good and not bad as thought earlier in the series, and the Concierge is the one in charge of everything.

I don't actually think the Emotion lord works with either the concierge or Plum, although he's fully aware of what happens in the original timeline. Remember how he tried to help Chris'n'Beth with the seed and then acted all guilty when Plum found out about that. As for Plum being good, without knowing what happened in their future it's hard to sympathize with her, since rewriting someone's future/destiny just like that is as close to villainy as it can get in my book.

hmmmm that is right. Maybe the Emotion Lord doesn't want that part of the timeline to change, even though it affects the future. Remember in season 1 episode 10 the Emotion Lord sees Beth and starts crying and says he misses her. That could be a conflict between the two... I'm sure it's not a full blown alliance between the three, but there must be some common goal the three are working for (i.e. changing the timeline).

i liked them to, but now i kiiiind of dont think he deserves her anymore:/ It's been like this since the first time we saw Plum. Everytime we see Chris and Plum together they are Kissing or flirting and i don't think it's good for their characters.
