I'm loving the longer, as-it-happens, local immersion vlogs. Power on and live, not for tomorrow, but for today! * You met more friendly locals who are so giving. * That epic sunset at 15:07 was stunning (my new computer background), and, * Despite the loss of power (twice) the Filipino's really know how to adapt and just go on with life. Here in the states we'd be angry and find anything/anyone to blame.

This is great! Plenty Filipinos are talented in music, singing & having a band, having a good time with friends specialy at a beach is commonplace. As one politician once said "Filipinos are happy people, jus give them their food & their music & freedom to worship GOD & all is well." The simple life in the privince is good, I grew up in the province, in Negros Island as I am from Bacolod City, it wasn't a posh life but I missed it so much when I was already here in Manila as my mom moved here for me to study in college, in the island of Luzon, I got to see beaches & provinces here but I would have pangs of "sentimental longing" for the province where I came from, but of course through years of living in "Manila" --by that I don't mean Manila City itself, its how we commonly refer to being in Luzon or the city life in any place or district of Luzon, bcoz I lived in Makati & then in Paranaque, then we moved again to live in Las Pinas, a district refered to as in the south of Luzon. I grew up in the province seeing & experiencing that scene you jus showed. Its great!

Cebuanos and Bisaya people can really speak in English, I mean not just know English, but they can really talk confidently in English. That's why a lot of tourist go there coz they can communicate well with the locals. plus they are really really warm and friendly which tourists love.

I love the fact that even with no electricity you found the resilience of Filipinos.. Especially during Brown Out(No electricity). We normally gather around a candle/light to share stories, share a song together and share a beer or meal or snack. The way you are going most likely you will have a fun and great experience here, especially if you are so approachable. -Even if you don't know the song, you can just share the moment and vibe. Thats also something that is prominent here in the Philippines, we are kindof like a singing culture.
