Being able to paint the weapons, flipping and rotating more pieces, raised weapon and engine limit, less picky placement restrictions, more decorative pieces. One of the mods is I dropped the bridge down a level and glitched the nose cap c's to the sides (same bridge) and dropped a nova 2ltf cowling on top. It looks really good, IMO. **POST 1.13.61 AUGUST UPDATE DISCLAIMER:** With the recent update removing Flipping, Variant Swap and Duplication as we used to know it, merging certain parts together in this build like the reactor, grav drive, and fuel tank will require a different process. If you're ok with mods, you could simply just use a mod like Better Ship Snaps and Ship Building Tweaks as a replacement for all Glitches, however, Duplication is still available as a vanilla glitch method but with a slight difference: Select the part you want to Duplicate downwards, and select the corresponding Nova Bracer indicated in the video. Then Duplicate both parts. The parts will Duplicate in place instead of Duplicating downwards like what is shown in the video. Simply select the Duplicated part and then press Space (Accept), and the part should Duplicate downwards. Slightly different, just an extra step but with the same outcome if done correctly. You could theoretically accomplish any glitch method with just Duplication, so it's good we still have this in some capacity. If you still have trouble, I recommend watching this video from JRamosWorks Gaming Fun. He details how to do certain glitches that still work: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qafUgn-GlJylhsUsi=qYNrmQnUEqscn-vt I'll continue to do full on build guides utilizing both glitching and mods and will detail everything out.

Yo! You absolutely nailed the Carrack vibe. It would be impossible to capture the subtle angles that the Carrack has with Starfields parts, and I daresay this is about as close as you could get. The only critique I could offer is that, proportionally speaking, this bridge is too wide and not tall enough. Otherwise, this is a great interpretation. Well done! Liked and subbed. Personally, I like to listen to a creator talk to the viewer about choices made. Adds a level of informative entertainment that can be very helpful to those that are less experienced. But, that is just my opinion.

But yeah I completely agree with your critique. First time using that Deimos Ares Bridge and I just felt compelled to use it on an Explorer-class ship.

@@High_Key oh come on, you’re giving me way too much credit! But damn, thank you. That’s the highest praise I’ve received. Just for the record, I didn’t mean to downplay the success of your build with my critique, as it is a great looking ship on its own regardless of the Carrack inspiration. I was simply stating that, if you wanted to really nail those proportions bang-on for accuracy, in my opinion a cockpit or bridge with narrower glass would achieve that. I can’t wait for more variety in shape with new parts. People are increasingly experimenting with build techniques to achieve more unique shapes, as you’ve done with some of the glitches here. I don’t see that as a bad thing at all, but more of a reflection of how tired we all are of our current selection. I’m really considering just getting into mods for the same reason, even though I REALLY want to wait for consoles to have them so nobody feels left out of a build.

Dude no worries at all, I got ya completely. Really hope we can get some new parts and optimizations sooner than later too. I think it’s about time. I still see a ton of inspo here and on Reddit but I do think we’re getting close to exhausting all the possible vanilla designs, which is why I find myself leaning heavily into glitching to essentially “create new parts”. At the same time, I do find that pretty enjoyable. Like it’s its own mini game within a build. I totally get that too. I think that’s partially why I’m waiting on using any mods as well. You can get decently close. The wing nacelles don’t need to be nearly as detailed while maintaining the same overall shape. And the ship will look pretty similar without the rows of Deimos Spines into the Deimos Bumpers. For that,keeping the bumpers over the spines will definitely look better. And then for the engines and fuel tank you’ll just have some gaps in-between. The biggest change will be a major cargo difference as you’ll be forced to use 2 Supernova Engines only whereas I actually have 2 Supernova Engines merged with 3 SAL 6830 Engines that allow for some 5k cargo while maintaining 91 mobility. I will say though that most of this ship can be done with just Flip/Rotation and the Drop methods, both of which are the easiest to learn. Takes about 5 minutes to learn how to do and within 10 minutes of messing around with it, you’ll really understand the concept and how you can utilize it to optimize your builds. After a few a couple builds, it’ll become second nature, and you’ll be hungry to learn the other methods. But totally understand if you prefer vanilla.

This ship is beautifull, but seriously a trash hellhole. After a while the whole ship is so glitched you cannot enter the ship without glitching through the floor. And thats the issue caused by extensive glitching parts into position where it's not intended to be. Any parts is fine, but Habs and any crucial ship parts that is required to fly is not. When something goes wrong reloading the save, your ship is done for. #1 rule... never glitch crucial parts. (Gears, engines, shields, fuel, reactor, grav) Cosmetic parts (like wings) are fine. Glitching them into the very cornet of the cockpit like here. No issue either.
@High_Key3 ай бұрын
Ok so first things first. Go back to the ship builder and check ALL YOUR HABs and make sure you have no duplicate habs merged _into_ each other. I've had your issue before and it happened two separate times for two separate reasons, NEITHER OF WHICH had to do with the Glitches on the ship or even Glitch/Mod Conflicts. Because Glitching *_vanilla_* parts as done in this video will not do what you're saying. First time it happened was because for some reason I had two habs merged into each other. I think I had undo'd a deleted hab after placing a new hab down. Once I removed that extra hab, the issue stopped. If you're using mods that increase snap tolerances and removes the need for Glitching like (Better Ship Tweaks by EVANSY), then this mistake can happen more often as it becomes very easy to merge parts, even habs. They literally just slip into each other and it's easy to miss that. Second time this happened was a load order issue with too many mods. Once I cleaned up and optimized the load order, it stopped. I remember once I got rid of Unofficial Starfield Patch and some spacesuit skin mods specifically (all from Creations, not from Nexus), the issue stopped.
@nivek5003 ай бұрын
@@High_Key neither of the mentionned issue occur on my side at the moment. Double checked everything. As to load order... nah if on first build the ship was fine, and second play fine too. Then thats surefire not anything mod related as i didn't add new mods in meantime. I noticed i could just slide some parts away rather then snap off the ship. That doesn't sound anything related to the above. The issue is fixed by removing some modules that was snapped in that didn't make sense. Swapped for certain other modules that does attach. Notice that the wing isn't attached at all. Just glitched in. Without any real attachment to the shop. Tweaked all that without doing what you just said i should check. And the ship works fine again.
@High_Key3 ай бұрын
@@nivek500 Glad it's working out for you. Which modules did you specifically remove that don't make sense? Can you shoot me a timestamp of where you were at when you did this? Also, are you using Better Ship Tweaks or Better Ship Snaps or any mod that increases ship snapping tolerances? If so, I can promise you the issue you're facing is in regards to parts that are unintentionally merged together like habs. The only time I've fallen through my ships outside of straight up BGS bugs, is hab modules that somehow merged together or were not merged at all and were offset by just a little, something that can EASILY happen with a ship snap tolerance mod like the ones I mentioned (and use myself). And this is also something that can just as easily AND unknowingly be fixed by just taking a part a little of the ship and putting it back together which sounds like what happened with you when you took apart your ship to diagnose the issue. The hab may not have been duplicated or merged but just slightly offset, and then it reset back into the proper position when you took the ship apart and put it back together. When habs are offset or merged into each even in the slightest, the interior will be bugged. I've been doing this since release and am very active in the r/StarfieldShips on Reddit where HEAVY glitch builds are commonplace. I can say without a doubt that glitching vanilla parts the way we do in this video will not result in your those issues. Trust me, the only outlier here is the fact that we now have mods. This was built back in Feb WAY before mods, and I've built way more complicated stuff since with my audience following suit. You seem to have your mind set on the fact that it's glitches but please just hear me out with an open mind brother. If you don't believe me..and you REALLY want to test this out, build the ship vanilla without any mods and just follow the video straight up using the glitch methods. That's the only true test you can do, otherwise this is all assumption. I actually really care about this because I don't want you to limit your building creativity based on this false assumption.

Another statement, why must All of these builds have the shuttle or space ship have a forward facing cockpit? that look is SO over rated. Granted this is what you like, but I am a different person when it comes to ascetics and functionality, as well as practically
@High_Key8 ай бұрын
It's just a term for a ship that could carry you to the finish (on very hard) before an NG+ reset is all. It's also a ship that requires Level 60 + Starship Design 4 + Pilot 4, while also having done the "All That Money Can Buy" quest and finishing UC Vanguard, so beginning players, or even middling players cannot build this ship yet. Hence, end game (with a dual meaning here). Interesting you mention that about the cockpit because I usually build asymmetric ships, usually with wildly offset cockpits like the Outrider/YT-2400 from Star Wars, and this particular ship is completely based off the Anvil Carrack exploration ship from Star Citizen, so the forward-cockpit design is actually intentional. If you take a look at my other builds, you'll see a lot of that Outrider inspiration I was talking about. The only time cockpits/bridges are front and center like this are when the builds are inspired by other fictional ships like this "Anvil Carrack" build or my "Mercury Star Runner" build, both of which are from Star Citizen. Otherwise, I'm trying to get unique with it.
@WizeOldWizard8 ай бұрын
As HighKey stated, anything you can build at level 60 and up is considered an endgame ship because that is when all of the parts unlock. By that time, a player that builds ships likely has their Starship Design skill maxed at rank 4. Other than a few specific parts that are unlocked through quest rewards, those are the two major factors required to make all parts available.
@ir8dudefpv6 ай бұрын
I may have odd comprehension skills, but with regards to content creators claiming ‘End Game’ I personally take that as above level 60. I assume most players above level 60 have beaten the main story line and are now faced with starting over with NG+ or staying. End game. I do however find myself at odds with ‘clickbait’ or disingenuous content. I did not get that from this particular video. Although having to rely on ‘glitches’ to build is a let down. I hope having another perspective helps in some way. Cheers

I use the term "endgame" for most games, even Starfield. I mainly mean something that you'll likely be using by the time you've completed most of the content you can. Stuff you'd likely have equipped or built by the time you finally decide to put the game down.

I find nothing wrong with the chef as a matter of fact I'm going to make my own version of it and see what I come up with good video😊 now in Sephora's why the cockpit is mostly facing forward, it's because the basic Aesthetics of flight AS modeled after the basic bird is forward of the wings or engine and we have no other creature to gauge flight by even the insects have this basic flight model although they may have more sensors😅. Now is a ship build we are free to design what we feel. I have read plenty of books and seen plenty of movies that reflect differences. For example the Nostromo in Aliens doesn't have a clear-cut cockpit that is external and I understand. Most of today's Syfy tropes usually come up with some sort of see-through steel to simulate the glass in the visuals Star Trek itself has a blatant bridge on top of a disc even though it is retracted inside the hull a little. Wild Battlestar Galactica in Star Wars just doesn't seem to care at all😂. But my favorite part about these videos is how they're so star citizenish but not😊
