Melody sounds sorta like the end of Portishead "The Rip"...great synth and pedal combo

Thank you! I’m not familiar with that track but I’ll check it out. The progression is based around “Maggot Brain” by Funkadelic.

Best pedal ever made..it's just perfect..

It sure is lovely. Very tempted by their new flagship LVX pedal. Thanks for commenting.

@@seanelliotmusic Your welcome..You know what..I was initially excited about the LVX..but now I've decided I'm not getting it..I'm keeping my Polymoon..I feel the LVX sure does look like a great pedal..but after all the initial emotions wore off I was disappointed..Sure it's got a lot more routing options and modular functionality BUT... From what I've seen (demo's) so far it really is a glorified Polymoon that is admittedly more easier to manipulate,plus a bit of the Hedra, Ottobit and Enzo thrown in..In other words how many NEW sounds or effects has it got?..From what I gather,not many...And there lies the problem with me..I want a new Meris pedal with totally new core sounds and effects..not old ones(however excellent) that you can mix and match (again good but you can do a lot of that more or less if you have all of the individual pedals..To me I'd much rather they done a super Enzo,a modular synth pedal in the LVX format..with dozens of totally new core sounds and all kinds of synthesizer manipulation options..I'm thinking they will eventually do this anyway.....So il wait...

@@patrickr6505 interesting.... yeah something about the LVX looks too deep and less immediate / less fun / less inspiring, as powerful as it may be.... while the polymoon is supposedly hard to dial in repeatedly it still looks more immediate and sounds amazing... I am considering a polymoon!
@patrickr6505 Жыл бұрын
@@proxymerchant As I said,the Polymoon is perfect and easy to master..and although not as powerful than the LVX,still offers a magical sound that brings you to the outer reaches of space if you want it . hope you got or get one .

❤ glad to see more polymooned synth demos popping up. I bought a PM to pair with my Korg Monologue….😮Great to get an idea of where knobs should be… THANK YOU SO MUCH… absolutely beautiful soundscape 😊 am thinking about using it with a vocal looper an then throwing results into a granular synthesiser…. I am in love with the Polymoon effect….I was a big fan of Shoegaze back in the day and bands like Ride who made music you could float away to…. Polymoon helps to create exactly that feel. REALLY APPRECIATE you showing how it is done with a synth rather than a guitar, Sean

No worries. Glad you liked it. PolyMoon is pretty much in every video now. At least one thing goes through it on every track. I think synths are meant to have stereo delays on them! They always sound better.

Awesome demo - thanks. I'm gonna use it with the Minimoog D

very cool, subscribed! love the polymoon, although the matriarch also has a very good delay of its own!

Thank you for subscription. Much appreciated! Yes the Matriarch delay is very nice as well but the PolyMoon modulation adds a lovely flavour.

Unbelievable how this simple progression can put many of us in some kind of zen state, it brings life to what ever sci fi movie or story I can think of. I don’t know if it’s me but it seems like the pedal tempo is a fraction off but yet the delay works perfectly.
@seanelliotmusic2 жыл бұрын
The tempo could well be a fraction off. It’s not synced in this example - I just used tap tempo. The pedal can be synced to midi with an adapter (that I don’t have).

It’s a great pedal. I’ve used it on pretty much every track since owning it. Thanks for commenting.

Do you have any other processing on this signal or sound? EQ, reverb, etc...?
@seanelliotmusic3 ай бұрын
Hi! It was a while ago but as far as I can remember I had the Matriarch going into it via a stereo send from the mixer which is how I normally have my pedals set up. No other effects applied. Dry Matriarch into PolyMoon. No EQ - you’re listening to a direct to stereo recording which is how I normally record stuff. Hope that helps. Thanks for commenting!

Maggot Brain ?
@seanelliotmusic8 ай бұрын
Hi! Can’t tell if you’re asking because you know it’s Maggot Brain or if you’re asking because you don’t know what Maggot Brain is from my description. If it’s the latter, it’s a track by the band Funkadelic with a pretty epic guitar solo. Worth checking out if you’ve never heard it. That’s what this basic arpeggio pattern is based on. Thanks for commenting!
@itslateandimfat8 ай бұрын
@@seanelliotmusic The chord changes made me think of that song. I was wondering if you were in that MB state of mind. Its the first song I play when checking out a new delay pedal.
@seanelliotmusic8 ай бұрын
You are exactly correct. It is a copy of the Maggot Brain arpeggio. I thought I had already mentioned that in the description but I just double checked and I haven’t. Therefore, you win one Sean Elliot Music Fun Token for spotting the link. Well done! Thanks for commenting!
