Sir, in question asking for possible reasons to donate soap to people, shouldn't it be Only (i) as Option (iii) is not the reason to donate soap to people but the reason for recycling the toiletries. Azain good observation but there is a gap in your reasoning. See, we have limited data in passage - it says an organization is recycling soaps to give to poor. Now, nothing else is given which can help us infer that what is the main motivation. So, we will go with all possible motivations. And if you notice that's the question too. Now you are that organization now you can have double motivations too. Giving poor soap and saving environment- isn't it? You just need to check whether the reasons are relevant to the case or not.

Sir, the probability of each person should be 1/100 i.e., 0.001% right? why it is 0.0001%..is it a typo error or my calculation mistake?

Dear Bhanu, Assuming you are talking about the super power question. Couldn't understand your question. Now 1/100 is 1% but we aren't talking about that. The option "normal probability is .0001% " says that chances of getting a super powered person in a normal group is .0001%. But in the experimental group it's 40%. What exactly is your confusion?

Yes sir, in what basis that probability is calculated here as.0001%? And this doubt is because I assumed sometimes there can be questions asked based on calculations also, for ex. Question like, Given fact: if x is 20% more than y(as like Crude iron question). then from inference options one option can be y is 20% less than x which is mathematically wrong(so easily can eliminate this point from mathematical view).. So as like this example I wanted to cross check the mathematical options also. Here for sure it is option d as you said. But didn't get on what basis that probability part is taken. Correct if I'm wrong analytical questions do consist mathematical and logical parts also?

Yes Bhanu, Maths is not beyond reasoning & vice-versa :) If you have considerable grounds (data given in the case) to mathematically eliminate or select an option in CR/Reasoning question, go ahead with it.

Dear the dft, the basics of critical reasoning are nothing but processes based on logic. If you instinctively do it, it means that you are good at logic. You would also see when you understand the basics of CR, it is as good as the way you think- it's just that you didn't realize it earlier. So in addition to your instinct, if you are able to identify the process, then you accuracy would increase further.

Hello sir, why did you priortise option C over E in the accident insurance argument.? Option E is clearly speaking about the accident whereas option C is only about safety rules which can lead to accidents.

Gyan Read E carefully. It says the chances of accidents on small roads can be more in case of infrequent drivers. They aren't talking about absolute nos or comparison of total nos. of accidents b/w infrequent and frequent drivers. So in a way it is inadequate to weaken the premise of the argument which is "more you drive, more are the chances of accidents." But look at C - it says infrequent drivers are inexperienced and are prone to not follow rules and hence more prone to accidents. This directly challenges the premise. So C is better than E in this case - isn't it?

In the question which had soap recycling the first option said that diseases like pneumonia and diarrhoea can be prevented by handwashing, but these diseases aren't exactly caused by dirty hands, diarrhoea arises due to polluted water and pneumonia is airborne. Shubham, I understand where you are getting confused. There was similar question earlier too so I will just reiterate the same reply. See What's the nature of the question? Reverse COA - i.e. we need to find what can be a possible reason for the action taken by the hotel. Now before 3 put an if. If recycling toiletries help in keeping environment clean should hotel do recycle soaps- Obviously Yes! isn't it? Regarding the general argument (toiletries are being said not soap part), well causes can be general - isn't it? General causes elicit specific response. That's why 3 is an answer. Where you are making mistake let me tell you that too. What you are trying to is to infer from the passage by moving forward, but what is needed is to move backwards because the given statement is COA and the desired result is the possible causes that can elicit this particular COA. Hope now it's clear!
