What great mastery of this pdd! Such immaculate flow in both and elegant grace! Wonderful dreamlike leaps & landings by charming Merkuriev! On top of this they expressed loving joy and tenderness with subtle acted movements! Bravo! Thanks for this treat to watch.

They used the pdd and the coda from the first act and the variations from the third act, how interesting! I never saw this being done before, but it looked beatiful nevertheless ;)

Not Act 1 - it's Act 2 . . . the adage is the finale after the death of Abderakhman (chor. Grigarovich) - and the coda is from the earlier Grand Pas d'action (Raymonda, Abderakhman, Clemence, Henrietta, Beranger, Bernard) with Merkuriev doing a sort of mash-up of the parts for Beranger and Bernard. The solos are from the Grand pas classique Hongrois in Act 3 of Grigorovich's version - I don't know where the music for this male variation comes from, as Grigorovich used the familiar music (chor. Sergeyev taken from Act 2 for Beranger) in Act 1 . . . anyone know? Alan
