Everyone worships her for her flexibility, crazy extentions etc. I never cared much for all that. Why I adore her, what captivates me about her is her emotion, her passion and soul. Her acting and stage presence is phenomenal. I mean my goodness look at that fire in her eyes when she begins her solo variation!!! She looks possessed of with her own diabolical self! Yes her technique is beautiful but she goes beyond that for me as a ballerina. She is so expressive, in even the most gentle or subtle ways. What an evil odile she produces! All while maintaining her grace and elegance.

I usually have no words to describe the magestic performance of Svetlana. She is everything and MORE than anyone could wish to see in a ballet performance. Ballet is so sublime and beautiful, but even more so if it is a Russian dancing it, and her name is Svetlana Zakharova.

Actually, the movement begins and comes from the shoulders. I was taught by a ex-Russian prima ballerina. a couple of us were messing around between classes.doing “swan arms.” She demonstrated briefly then grabbed my shoulders. Best I can describe is pulling you shoulder blades closer together and releasing, letting movement flow out through your arms...(At that time, I had the posture,dropped relaxed shoulders and soft pliable arms ...now I hear arthritic crackling...)

Svetlana can give Bolle a run for his money... she is one of the few ballerinas who can steal the stage from him... she possesses such control of movement and definition... look at her arms, wrists and hands... look at her expressive face... just gorgeous.

the different qualities of her dancing when she is the black swan vs white swan is amazing. the black swan she always has this seductive smirk and is very sharp with her movements. i dont know how to really explain this but when she plays the role of the black swan she seems overpowering and almost selfish with her partner whereas the white swan is very gentle, very flowy, and equally as beautiful. svetlana will always be my idol. ❤️❤️

Ну профессионалы с Вами согласны, Захарова во всех отношениях настоящая 100% прима-балерина, как есть. Это то что называется Класс! Изначально великолепные данные и талант, ограненные лучшими педагогами и много-много работы. Помнится как-то читала, что прима-балериной - это реально только родиться, балетные все пашут, но изначальные данные играют огромную роль, нужно ВСЕ иметь, то бишь бриллиант можно сделать только из качественного алмаза, а это редкость.

У всех прим есть что-то совершенно эксклюзивное, у Плиссецкой - темперамент, харизма и тоже выразительнейшие руки, у Улановой - бесподобный артистизм и какая-то совершенно особенная воздушность, искрящаяся хрупкость Максимовой, идеальные до совершенства линии Захаровой - ее вполне можно на крышку музыкальной шкатулки, чувственность и редкая естественность Марианеллы Нуньез... У каждой свое, все потрясающе владеют телом, но каждая индивидуальна.
