Wonderful to see Merle in concert. One of favourite singers. A real genuine man, a patriot. So sad that he and Bonnie parted, I think he regretted the divorce, he kept her close until her death. I think she always held him in her heart.

I think she really was the love of his life. After they divorced and he remarried, I think he soon realized that Bonnie could not really be replaced. He said when he first started singing with Bonnie she gave him confidence in himself that he had never had before. With her by his side he felt he could accomplish anything. He said she saw goodness in him, maybe even greatness that he did not see in himself. He also said that he had been like a puzzle with some missing pieces and those spaces had been filled with loneliness and anxiety. After he started getting to know Bonnie he realized the lowliness was gone and he was feeling happier than he had ever been. Many of his songs seem to be speaking about his feelings for Bonnie.

This video was on you tube and now it appears again. THANK GOD. It is different as the one that I thought I had worn out as I played daily never and Merle and his wife coming in hand in hand nor the intro to Bonnie. This was just wonderful when he was speaking about and to Bonnie THANK YOU for this post. It is a great concert. Avid Merle and Bonnie from Queensland Australia. RIP MERLE AND BONNIE . TOGETHER AGAIN. ❤❤

It's a shame him and Bonnie couldn't stay married. U could truly see they loved eachother. I had a husband like that. Had 2 wives that put up with his running around I was 13 years younger than him. He was ready to settle down when I got him. Loved him dearly. He's been gone 16 years.

THAT is HOW YOU MAKE A MISTAKE. The worst thing you can do is Hang your head or get Flustered or Mad . I did that once if it's a Blatant you Own it and they love you. I was sitting in with a Band and said let's do Sure Hank done it this way and then starting Singing I'm a Rambling ( both Waylon Songs) of course.I looked back at the Drummer and he was still playing but grinning from ear to ear and I HEY FOLKS IM SINGING THE WRONG SONG and LOVED IT We just kept going. Nobody Died .
Die Qualität des des Ton 'sich ist miserabel! Schade!

A little disappointed in this show. Merle sure didn't age well. What a drop dead gorgeous guy to not a very good looking old man. He seems high and his false smiles - almost I never saw this - makes me think he really wasn't all that nice as a person. Great singer and composer.
