The way Merle sings Nine pound hammer makes me think of listening to the Nitty gritty dirt band, that record where the country giants jam with the young guys, so relaxed and right on the money, I love his voice, reminds me of growing up in the country.

I wonder if the Bear Family dvd is chopped up like this is? I would be very disappointed if it is. Merle and Johnny Bond made a brilliant tribute album to the Delmore Brothers.
