Hey Ryan! I want to thank you for still uploading lessons regularly. I have written a few songs on the Merlin which you can find on my channel, and they are in a large part thanks to you. You are awesome and you have taught me so much! Cheers!

Well, I have suspicions that you are in BC. I live in Vancouver, so maybe we should jam sometime!

Hey rye guy! (Or Ryan if you prefer) I went to the rock shop looking to just grab some picks and seen one of those bad boys on the wall and had the guy pull it down for me and thought it was one of the coolest instruments ever. Bought it and been watching your videos to learn. I love the vids man! Please keep throwing them out her for us.

Love your videos, you actually inspired me to pick up my merlin again for the first time in awhile! I'd be pretty lost at learning how to play songs if it wasn't for you man.

My Merlin just arrived today and I love how one can produce something decent sounding with it right away 🙃 I'm also playing a bit classical/spanish, I think I'm gonna try some tremolo on the thing once I've got some routine with it (gonna let you know how it goes 😉)

One trick pony is a perfect description. I can play a little bit of guitar... my problem is I learned one strumming pattern I was comfortable with and now it’s nearly impossible for me to learn another one.

Its like anything else. For the most of use its something that comes with time. Been playing almost 30 years and it was not an over night thing. But if you judge yourself based on where you were a year ago rather then by others you can only ever get better

I have noticed you have multiple styles of pick guards on your merlins.... were these included stock or did you purchase aftermarket? If aftermarket, where did you find them? Thanks! Loving my new merlin!!

Hi Jen. I make them myself. You can find pickguard material on amazon.
