That line is utterly iconic. Merlin really just strolled into Camelot and started sassing the prince almost immediately, even after seeing how dangerous a place it can be. What a legend. Arthur never stood a chance.

Yay! So glad you're reacting to this! Merlin was sort of like a younger sibling of Superwholock back in the day, and the fandom is still surprisingly alive even ten years - oh god, it's been ten years?! - later. It's especially loved for the ways the characters and relationships developed over time. And for Merlin being a sassy little shit and a total klutz. We love him.

Excited to see this show made it to KZbin. Merlin was a quarantine binge for me so doesn’t have the nostalgia of Once Upon a Time, but I quite liked it and think it’s underrated. Plus Katie McGrath (Morgana) was in Supergirl and ❤️❤️❤️.

I love seeing someone react to a show like Merlin when they don't know much about Arthurian lore beyond the basic names. It gives such an immensely fresh feel to the reaction beyond the fact that you're watching it for the first time.

omg i didnt know you were doing Merlin, this show was heavily underrated imo, i feel like if you were in the superwholock fandom there was a high chance you watched Merlin too, but outside of that and Tumblr not many people knew of it, you can tell they didnt have the biggest budget but i think the acting and writing more than makes up for it. Also i love that the fandom its still very much alive, i hold this show close to my heart cause it was my comfort tv show for a while.

The actors for Uther, Merlin, Gwen, and Gaius have all been in Doctor Who as well! Spoilers for folks who haven't seen it. .............. Uther = the headteacher in the episode with the Krillitane. Merlin = Jethro (who said "In the middle of nowhere..." in a creepy way) in Midnight. Gwen = Madame de Pompadour's friend in The Girl In The Fireplace. Gaius = the doctor who transformed into a gas mask zombie in The Empty Child.

@@starlittardis2049 Elyan was in the Season 10 christmas special with the superhero guy, he's some CEO or smth Percival is in The Eleventh Hour, the guy who's laptop the Doctor takes with a lot of prn Sir Leon was a random Roman in The Pandorica opens Of Course the voice of the Dragon (John Hurt) is the War Doctor Cenred (Tom Ellis aka Lucifer) played Tom Milligan in the Season 3 finale Nimueh was Lady Christina in the Season 4 Easter Special apparently Lady Catrina was in The Runaway Bride as the Empress, but I remembered her as well from Medici (because Bradley James is also in that) I probably missed some, there are a lot xD It's the BBC after all :D

Hi everyone. I am new here and i am from Norway. Right now i am working a bit on my Merlin fanfiction and i have a very kind Lady OC that i try to match with one of Arthurs knights but i struggle. My favorites in the show are of course Merlin, Arthur, Gwen, Gaius, Leon and Lancelot. Aurora is very kind, she is calm, she could be stubborn. She is very protective of those she cares about and she likes to make people laugh and smile and she is good at cheering people up. She likes to drink, watch the kinghts practice, hang sometimes at a bar and drink, learn new stuff and petting dogs and cats. She likes animals and the animals does have a tendensy to like her back. She is a strong healer and she often puts others in front of herself. She needs a man that is caring, kind, calm, are patience with her, protective of her and can take care of her. So wich of Arthurs knights would you choose for her and why? Remember that if you choose someone that comes in late in the series you have come up with a way to include him very early. Thanks a lot. You are basically describing Lancelot. He’s all you said and more. But if you want to show a development, I would choose Gw, and i dont think it would be hard to include it early, just a bar scene would do, with him injured and Aurora taking care of him

Its interesting u didnt know morgana in arthurian pegend plays a big role she a massive part of king arthurs myth in later versions , Originaly she was two seperate characters but they got convined iver time in myths
