Hey lovely subbers!! So, I absolutely love this song, and it just screamed Merlin & Arthur at me, especially the part "I'll get it if you need it" with Merlin being Arthur's servant :-) Merlin & Arthur's epic friendship is without a doubt THE BEST FRIENDSHIP EVER IN THE HISTORY OF TELEVISION AND MOVIES. Just wanted to make that clear LOL!! Anyways, hope you all enjoy!! :D

what is amazing with merthur is whether you see it as platonic or not, it's still amazing. it's still amazing whether you see them as brothers, as friends, as lovers, whatever... just wow!

It's not amazing if you look attentively. While one of them is constantly and selflessly saving another's life, the other one is constantly mocking/bullying the first one, even in the last season. And it's not just innocent teasing / friendly cursing like it oftentimes happens between good friends. Merlin does get a lot of unpleasant treatment, dirty work and (usually) no protection when others decide to bully him too. Not the most health relationship, tbh.

@@Leonion6 That's a distorted view on how Arthur treats Merlin. Sure, Merlin gets teased right into season5 but all this is just Arthur trying to hide/camouflage his deep appreciation/friendship/love for Merlin. Arthur is king and Merlin is servant. Arthur has made is clear time and again from season1 onwards he is willing to bridge the huge difference in social standing by risking his own life so save Merlin. In skirmishes he constantly checks whether Merlin is safe. You can't blame Arthur for Merlin successfully playing the 'bumbling buffoon who can't find his own backside most of the time'. Arthur allows Merlin to speak to him like an equal but you can't expect to treat him like one 100% of the time.
