Okay. So, I had to watch this twice because the first time I missed half of it due to the tears streaming down my face and obscuring my vision. 🙂 This is beautifully constructed. Will I ever get over this series? It has been 8 years since I watched it first and my love for it is the same or maybe more. And your edit brought me into tears again. All the things that were left unsaid, all the tantrums they had to go through before they acknowledged their new dynamic, all the pain Merlin had to undergo and all the gratitude Arthur had to express.....We never got to see. And I am in tears again. Thank you for the amazing edit. I never knew I needed until I saw it.

A beautiful combination of clips and quotes used... It pares back all of their bickering, banter and annoyance with each other and really illuminates how much they love each other. It just makes me even sadder that we never got to see them live side by side with Arthur knowing the truth, because in the end.... He chooses Merlin over his distrust and hatred of magic, because Merlin defines Merlin not his magic... And I would of loved to see them in battle and day to day with merlin in the light. Like still his servant but able to use magic for some of the tasks and about to openly defend and aid with it ... It would of been beautiful and we were robbed

@@pyjamacryptid refreshing to see someone equally passionate. I have avoided watching the entire finale due to emotional attachment to the characters. But I've watched enough to fully agree with you that it was stunningly executed. I do believe there was no truly happy ending for the story, but I wish there was more satisfaction in the fact that Arthur does in fact accept Merlin as he is.... And Merlin is free to use his full power without fear. Yet this series will always bea building block of who I am and will always remain my favorite.
