Halley Stevenson have been working with waxed cotton for over 150 years and still operate from their Dundee factory right here in the UK. The densely woven Cotec material Merlin champion with the Lombard is durable and long-lasting while remaining easy to maintain, which makes it perfect for motorcycle touring duties. Backing this outer layer up is an Outlast climate control liner and a Reissa Active waterproof membrane which work in perfect harmony to keep you comfortable and dry.
The Lombard is a modern motorcycle garment fully equipped with the latest low profile D3O Ghost knee and hip armour as standard. The styling, however, harks back to old school motorcycle leathers with the accordion ribbed knee panels and regular fit cut, with the exception of its long length YKK zippers in place to fit over your boots.

I love the look and function of these pants. I'm in US and own a Triumph Sprint. Have long appreciated English aesthetic from Spitfires to MGBs' to British rock. Most of my riding gear has logos, and the understated elegance of these ''olive'' pants is great.

Were these made to be worn over jeans/slacks? I love the look and would buy anyway, but the versatility of these being designed to be worn over clothing would be a HUGE plus. Also how warm are these? I have a pre-order in for these pants here in the USA. They haven't shipped yet, but they look to be exactly what I have been wanting. I also got the Merlin Yoxall II jacket... Olive Jacket, Black pants so I don't necessarily look like I am in a riding suite :) Anywho, one question I have which I can't seem to find info on is if the knee armor is adjustable? I know that it is removable, but I am more concerned on it's placement over anything else as I am a shorter rider. I find many of the "non-adjustable" knee armor ends up under my knees. Do you have any info on that, or the approximate placement of the armor and if you think a 5'6"-ish (167-168cm) rider will have any issue with these pants? Thanks for the great content and reviews-this was the first review online I was able to find for these pants.

Hi Grant! The knee armour is not adjustable on these I'm afraid. As we are all different it all depends on the person.Some people just take them to a local tailor to have a little stitching done in the pocket to have the armour in specific place when they feel that it sits too low! :)

I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best. If they rest of the pants work well, taking to a Taylor won't be horrible. Looks like shipments in the USA won't be hitting us until late February at this stage anywho. Thanks.

Tech trouser for a good price my only problem i have bought a hoover water container from the UK (nothing from UR at the moment) last year at the begining of December and it still has not arrived bit put of at the moment because of the checks pandamie etc that goods will be slow or non excistent.

Hi! Well, the trousers might look similar but in practicality they are different, the Fuel are a great piece of equipment but are not waterproof where as Lombards are! it all depends on personal preference and what kind of riding you are planning to do :)
