Lovely pictures. Even though I am a septogenarian I want to visit this chateau next year (covid permitting) and despite Merlin & Arthur being long gone it will bring back wonderful memories.

I'm the one that posted this video but deleted the account years ago. Anyway chateau Pierrefonds looks very fairy-tale like on the outside but it's quite empty on the inside (back in 2011). So manage your expectations :) Don't forget to visit the nearby woods as many scenes where filmed there.

@@markreale5218 Thanks. My husband and I want to explore the region around too as it is a part we haven't visited before. It will probably have to wait till next year though due to continuing covid figures and also I am recovering from major surgery. Meanwhile I can rewatch your video (&the great Merlin series)

@@caroldixon3952 Thanks for the kind comment. The BBC was filming on the same day we were there. You can find the video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4unaGRunZWggMk Yes I'm also in the clip somewhere ;) The girl in my video with the camera (red jacket) is actually the BBC camera woman.

i think the decorations are for arthurs coronation NOT his wedding with gwen

I just now found this video, so you probably already know this now. I was just going to say that I remember the decorations from the wedding scene. It was actually from the scene where Arthur called off the wedding after catching Gwen with Lancelot. They were taking the decorations down, Arthur was sad, Merlin was trying to convince Arthur to forgive Gwen, and that creepy Aggravaine was about to tell Arthur that "Lancelot" had killed himself. That's what I remember at least. Again, I'm sure you've already seen this since it was 9yrs ago. I'm way late, I know.

@@brandyjoiner9575 haha yes! It’s incredible being reminded of this comment nearly a decade ago 😄. But yes, the heartbreaking scene where Arthur banished Gwen from Camelot just before they were meant to marry. So sad! Great series.
