I’m a 71 year old lady and throughly enjoyed this. I love trees and gate to see them come down but I understand the need to have some removed. For 36 years I’ve trimmed my own trees but this year due to my physical condition I had to call a tree trimmer. Hated it, but had no choice. But I highly respect good tree trimmers. I'm counting atleast 1.2million worth of equipment in this video. Part of me would love to grow to this size company. Other half of me is ok with just a harness, spikes, old dump truck, ropes, and 3 chainsaws 1 pole saw. 2 part timers. Total investment 10k and almost 200k in billings. This video is exactly what I mean when people ask me questions either grow large or stay nimble with a decent living.

Less headaches when you stay small but you’re limited. Each bucket truck can gross $1,000,000 in a year, so you add a machine that can cut that time by a 1/4 then you’re busting the opportunities wide open to 3x or 4x that gross revenue. Pay off the equipment in a few years then you’ve got a good stretch where you can improve productivity and building reputation.

The Merlo is basically a miniature feller buncher used in logging process. Actually surprised it has taken this long to bring to the tree service industry. It will do to this industry what the buncher did for logging. Save lives and limbs and improve operation efficiency by being much much faster. Can imagine as more competition in manufactures cost will come down and It won’t be long before every company goes this way and very little rigging and climbing trees will be required.
