I love this idea for a mermaid. When I was a kid, my mum told me that mermaids were born from pearls so this is kind of like a childhood dream coming true. Her and Tritannus look really cute together BTW. Their colour pallets match nicely ❤. As for names, the only thing that I could think of is Iri, short for iridescent which is what her skin reminds me of

Oh, my god, she literally turned out so beautiful. I've never seen a clam/pearl mermaid before. That's very creative 👌🏻 Since she's attatched to the shell, I can imagine her getting in fetal position, closing the upper lid and sleeping in her shell as well 🐚 I'm not a doll customizer or a crafter, but I'm an artist, so I've also done quite a few mermaid pieces for this Mermay, such as a sea ghost, a random mermaid, an airmaid (an open species by UnknownSpy), a Capricorn mermaid, an octopus mermaid, a jellyfish mermaid princess, a narwhale mermaid, an anglerfish mermaid, an electric eel mermaid and an axolotl merboy, as well as some mergirls, like a goldnixie warrior, a sea angel and a pointy-finned mergirl princess ^^

That's probably the most original take on a mermaid-like creature I've ever seen, not gonna lie. A "pearlmaid" it's the kind of thing I would've NEVER thought of, not even in a thousand years, and you guys made it work! Kudos About naming her, considering her marbled skin (very "planetary-esque"), unusual beauty, intricated hairstyling, pearls and the whole coming out of a shell thing... What if her name was "Venus", as a nod not only to the planet itself, but also to the Roman goddess of love, beauty, sex, fertility, motherhood and all that? A mermaid design that I stumbled upon when I was but a wee child was of an eel mermaid. Warning: Lil dark and spooky!!! The eels had their arms removed and and scars down their faces so only one eye was still able to open. If I was to mad science a mermaid I'd start with a base of a mer with an eel tail, fuse the arms down the torso and add a graft of lion fish spikes down the back.

I really love your merfolk creations and as far as hybrids go I have always loved the fantastical...Hippocampus or Hippocampi (plural form) are half horse and half fish; their head, front legs and upper torso are equine with fish scales to help propel them through the water and increase turning speed and their lower half is all fish...and they are faster then mermaids, just like land equines are, compared to us.

Your photo group shots of all the mermaid dolls you made are amazing. I love group photo shots with the same theme. For names, I thought of Pearletta, Mariscola (mixed in Portuguese word Marisco=clam), Aphrodite, Krona, Malz, Blissy, Blysc (part of a polish word for shiny), Rozkosz, and maybe more. Thought of combining words relating to clam, pearl, shiny, and bliss might help.
