After watching a humpback whale from the clifftops at the weekend I couldn't pass up the chance of a boat trip, the day that they were allowed to resume trips. I had seen a blow and surface in Mounts Bay while they were out on their previous trip so was hopeful that we would see it. After receiving word that it was feeding off Tater Du Lighthouse we headed over, parked up and waiting. How amazing to see it blowing, logging on the surface and then blowing a couple more times before fluking and going down to feed again. I even smelt it's breath as it surfaced behind the boat as we were leaving and the wind carried the smell across the deck. Unforgettable!
