Damn, I remember back in time where it cool to summon alot of big monster and fill the field of it...now it just sacrificing alot of monsters just to have two or three on the field :( I guess I’ll have to adapt to this new format after not playing for a long time (2 years)

The thing about he playing not Moulinglacia is that if he does these extensive combos, the opponent most likely will use a handtrap which you want to discard with Moulinglacia anyway. So if you are going second and you have the option to OTK, you don't need Moulinglaica, as by the end of the combo, where Moulinglacia drops, the opponent would have used something.

all mermail player should try this combo : starting hand : dragoons / teus / salvage / foolish burial / 1 water generic - result : decode + toadally awesome + toadally awesome + abyssgaios equip with two mizuchi and/or kraken (foolish burial is for hilde that special summon ocea from hand)

Toadally Awesome should be Special Summoned into the Extra Monster Zone above Firewall Dragon instead of putting it beside Firewall Dragon in the Main Monster Zone. It saves more space for Toad's Set effect if it negates an appropriate monster. It also saves space to summon off of Firewall Dragon if Toad has to send itself to negate. That setup is insane.

Why no moulinglacia? If you draw either it or megalo with the other two cards, you can drop it and still finish with either board. Desires is also quite good in mermails. And before anyone says "no desires because ash blossom," he plays three moray of greed which would put him in an even worse game state if it got ashed than desires.

Yeah I don't understand either. I was looking at Moray of Greed on Yugioh wikia and thought that shuffling the water monsters into the deck is a cost. It's actually part of the effect, so no minus there!

This is more of a personal opinion, but I don't really think that moulinglacia is that good right now, and I would assume this player felt the same. The majority of spyral cards are at 3, and the few that are at 1, for the most part, want to be in the grave anyways. So, I feel that moulinglacia isn't going to hinder your opponent from doing what they wanted anyways. There is of course a chance that it could stop them, but my experience is that those chances are uncommon.

Curious as to why he chose to run 3 Megalos. Was it just to increase possible OTKs/FTKs? I have personally found that 2 seems to be plenty since it is such an easy card to search for. Then again I am just a skrub, so what do I know.
