I'd be more implied to believe the whole "bounties on marines" thing was Crocodile's idea (it really seems to be more his style than anything), and that he chose to approach Buggy with the idea because Buggy had the money to actually fund it between everything he made off Buggy's Delivery, and the implication that he may have found Captain John's treasure over the timeskip.

I think he was sent back into the past (by the user of the devil fruit opposite to Toki's) after they found the one piece and realized someone who could survive centuries (say, an android) and had the necessary knowledge to make androids, had to go back to transform Kuma into an Android (and Kuma accepted because Franky told him the truth), give Kuma the knowledge to where to be at the right time (Thriller Bark and Sabaody), exactly where to send the strawhats, take care of the Sunny for two years, how to make a perfect devil fruit of a dragon, lie to the WG just to ensure the fruit stayed in Punk Hazard only to be found by Momo...👀 I'ts all way to convenient for Vegapunk to be a stranger...

seems like lots of people keep ignoring this particular fact.. Oda specifically named it "guild" for certain reason, it's obvious the structure won't be the same as a simple "pirate crew". Meaning Crocodile and Mihawk will definitely not positioned 'under' Buggy. I'd like to think they joined Buggy as special guests, but even if it doesn't make any sense, they're definitely not counted as Buggy's underlings.

The idea of Green Bull coming in so hot as an act of desperation is a really interesting and on-point take. But I do wonder what Vegapunk and the Navy's science division are cooking up, we can't forget that the Navy felt comfortable letting go of Mihawk and the other warlords due to something they developed. And, the idea of all of the yonko meeting at Laugh Tale together is so awesome. The Cross Guild honestly seems like a worthy inclusion, they are making waves in the One Piece world!!!

The problem with Vegapunk's SSG is that... They seemingly completely dropped the ball with capturing the old Warlords. If they can't even capture Warlords, who they were supposed to replace and are generally wayyy weaker than Yonko, then wtf was the point of this new force? Against someone like Doffy I'd give Boa the Haki/Physical advantage but Doffy would have the DF advantage since we know he's awakened. Personally I think Boa is stronger, I think she can use CoC Infusion which is the most significant power in the series so far. (Outside of whatever we just saw Shanks do with his CoC)

Not just because it symbolizes Japanese culture but also because it is a freshwater fish and shouldn't exist in the sea. That was answered when Sukiyaki showed us that it was fresh rainwater accumulated inside Wano's borders and not salt water.

The one who made the thumbnail of Buggy with the Uno reverse card deserves all the kudos. I think it is a testament of Oda's writing to do something that I never thought of. The idea of issuing bounties toward the Marine has never occur to me before, because the idea of pirates being wanted has become so ingrained us in not just One Piece but also in the real world. I also like to think that Buggy is the "face" of the Emperor while Crocodile is the mastermind and Mihawk is the muscle.

Figured these few chapters would be among Merphy's favorites as it features her favorite long sleeved slimey character. Jokes aside, I'm convinced Caribou works for either Blackbeard or the Marines. It would make sense. Although I like the idea of him secretly working for Shanks, just because that would be an insane plot twist. Shanks came, promoted his movie, scared off an admiral, left without an explanation. What a dude! The shot of Luffy and the trio just hanging out and observing the battle is absolutely one of my favorite panels. It also kind of implies that four of them could take on an admiral and confidently win? That's something. Man, just one more? These chapters really kept hitting me deep and reminding me, One Piece really is ending. But never mind all of that, someone needs to get Jimbe and Chopper the same PR team as Buggy because man... This dude just keeps failing upwards into the lap of success. At this rate, the man waiting for them at Laugh Tale is going to be Buggy. Only Oda knows how he duped Mihawk and Croc.

I think everyone will meet on Elbaf. Luffy, Law, and Kid will all meet there after some time. Law took the straightforward path, but he still won't get there as quickly. Kid, at some point, will just end up stuck with Luffy again before we get there because Oda will want to give us more info on him before the final arc begins.

I'm sure Shanks is not going to be a villain but I do think he'll be an antagonist at one point. Shanks clearly has an agenda regarding the new era with Luffy in the center as the "chosen one", and being that Shanks himself is not part of the generation that will bring the new era I think he'll choose to be the last step on Luffy's way to make sure he has the power and will to truly become that "chosen one". I think that's why he's been plotting behind scenes, why he's been following Luffy's pirate career interfering as least as posible, why he was so angry at Green bull recently and why he decided to go get the one piece just now. This whole time Shanks has been playing 5D chess while the rest was playing monopoly.

Shinobu is 5'11" so she was always kinda tallish. And Raizo is 10'2" so he was always huge, it's just that they are drawn like squares and are almost always surrounded by even larger/taller characters and that's why maybe you thought they were not so tall. Like Ashura is 17'10", Kanjuro is 11'5", Inuarashi is 16'9", Nekomamushi is 17'1". So when they are surrounded by them Shinobu and Raizo but especially Shinobu don't look tall.

Could easily see crocodile having a way to somehow counter water now.

I gotta say, this most recent chapter blew my mind. I started off with One Piece as a kid when the anime was originally airing (yea, the 4kids). I've been part of this crew most of my life, and literally this whole time I thought we were traveling West. I thought we left the East Blue, and all of the Grand Line went West. I thought it was probably like The Journey to the West, the story the Monkey King is from, after all we have a Monkey who wants to be king. But we've been going East all this time?!?!?! I don't know what to believe anymore.

I’m pretty sure they’ve been going Northeast. Though that means originally they were going southwest, since they are on the opposite side of the world from their starting point.

I did make it sound like they were following the equator and heading due East the whole time, but the Grand Line seems to cross the equator once on each side of the world, with half the Line in the northern hemisphere and half in the south. If they are headed Northeast now, then they are near the equator. As they reach the furthest point of the Grand Line from the equator they will go from Northeast to traveling due East before the curvature of the planet will send them back towards the equator on the other side. Nearing and passing the equator they will be traveling Southeast, and as they near the other point of the Grand Line being furthest from the equator they will level out due East again before returning to the equator in a Northeasterly direction. So traveling the Grand line you'd be going East, Northeast, East, Southeast in a continuous cycle, but always East. I think what threw me off the most is that they look at their globe with the southern hemisphere on top and north on bottom. I had always just assumed it would have been the same as our globes.

Hey Merphy love your vids and im interested what you think about a few of the theories floating around rn 1) theres a theory that buggy and gang will add doffy and Moria into the guild before the end and basically make the guild a reunion of the past important warlords (that dont have a strong motivation not to join like kuma and boa) 2)there is also a theory that the reason vivi is "missing" is bc Kuma after being freed sent her somewhere to prevent her from being taken by imu and the celestial dragons, and that she was likely sent somewhere that would reunite her with the strawhats and that shed end up joining the crew finally when they reunite (I think she was sent to elbaf) 3) and I have my own personal theory that the "man with burn scars" kid was refering to is in fact aokiji (bc we know his fight with akainu scarred him) and that the reason kid wants to find him is bc aokiji learned how to read the poneglyphs before or after exterminating ohara to ensure that the knowledge wasnt completely destroyed by the world gov which we know hes never completely trusted

My take, with Oda's sense of humor in mind, is that Mihawk is doing his own solo thing as he always has. The difference being now that the marines are hunting him he uses the defeated ones to earn money at the cross guild, but the world at large has interpreted it as he's under Buggy's rule

I have this theory in mind that maybe in some sort of events, sea level would go high that's why they built wano's border in the first place. Maybe that's also the reason why they placed marijoa on top of the red line because they anticipate this massive event. and the very existence of "Noah" in fishman island, where in the bible, it rain for like months that caused water level to rise.

What is really interesting is how Oda frames Marines as basiclly a Yakuza organization. Not only their general morality, but their entire theme, from how their HQ looks like it belongs into the Yakuza franchize, to all the admirals being based on some famous Yakuza movie actors.
