My sister Leann (u met us at Magnolia Beach we were in the Prius camping) and my husband and I went to the Ft Worth Stockyards for Christmas Eve brunch at The Hotel Drover. Then sis and I went to a candlelight Christmas Eve service at her church. Today on Christmas day, i went to visit my 84 yr old father in Dublin, TX. We enjoyed smoked brisket and beans for lunch and exchanged a gift. This is my 2nd Christmas without my mother. Miss her ❤

Hey, Lulu! As I write this, it’s late afternoon on Dec 26th. I’ve been following you for several months, but I hadn’t truly committed to following your plan. However, today is the day! I eat oatmeal on a regular basis throughout the year, so breakfast was easy. 2oz oatmeal, 8 oz natural you get and 6oz of frozen fruit blend. I zapped half of the fruit with the yoghurt, and mixed everything together in a the perfect bowl! I keep a 1/3 cup measuring cup in my yoghurt jar and use that to scoop out my oatmeal. When I weighed out the oatmeal, I was shocked at volume of oatmeal is allowed on your plan. I stocked up on a variety of vegetables on Tuesday-I attempted to drive to town for groceries on Monday, but had to turn back because of the accumulation of snow on the roads in my village and the 4-lane highway into our nearest town. I roasted veg in the oven and had that and sautéd pork loin for lunch. I know that next week is the weigh-in date; but I weighed myself this morning, so I’d have a starting point. I’ve lost 40 lbs over the past 18mths, and I have to lose 48lbs to reach my goal of 160. My endocrinologist-have a thyroid issue-confirmed that this would be an appropriate weight for me. I’m looking forward to tonight’s zoom, I’ll be muted with no video-at least for now. Sadly, I won’t be able to go camping before late April, since I just won’t tow in the snow! Good morning Lulu. MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎉 Our Christmas day was yesterday here in New Zealand. What a beautiful blessed and wonderful day I had. It was sunny and beautiful all day. I spent the morning visiting my Grandbabies and Daughter. I visited my grandbabies grave and took him pretty flowers out of my neighbors beautiful garden. I had such a blessed and perfect day. Sunday I went to my nieces house for a family Christmas party. My sister, son, daughter, grandson and other niece were all there too with their families and lots of friends, and had good food and played lots of games. All the little kids were having fun too. Christmas eve I went to my daughter’s house to give them and my 3 year old grandson Christmas presents. We set out the carrots for the reindeer and cookies for Santa and I got to tuck him in before coming back home. It was real nice! Today I’m sleeping in but have some things to do today. It was nice to see your video this morning!

Last night we had a Prime Rib dinner with my daughter in Florida, made breakfast this morning and she took us to the airport and now we are celebrating with our son and daughter in New Jersey and my mom and sisters family. Glad to hear you had a nice Christmas Eve. I am not an avid reader and loved reading THE NIGHTINGALE during covid when we were in our homes looking for things to do. I picked out random books and we then shared what we chose with friends who chose different ones. To my surprise I just loved The Nightingale as did EVERYONE else. Since then I have read all her books with The Women being her newest (and that seems to ring most with our age group, and you will understand why when you read it. ) For whatever reason,The Nightingale remains the one that impacted most the moment I read it and after I finished it. Hope you find one to enjoy also. It is nice for your niece to invite you over for such a nice Christmas Eve Italian Feast even when she knows you do a BRING YOUR OWN MEAL. And, to have a "PEACEFUL" evening with your son and his Dad, was like an Oriental Potato topping to your Salad ! :) Lulu, I agree with your waiting to travel.. It has been so cold here that the small amount of snow New England had has not even melted yet. You could be fighting the cold rather than being in your nice warm home for a few more days. I think you will have a bigger smile on your face on Friday instead ! 😄 Great story for you. I needed to go grocery shopping at Market Basket before Christmas and I was waiting to get to the potatoes. I saw a huge pile of Oriental Potatoes and beamed that it was finally my "turn". When I heard the woman behind me yell ARE THOSE ASIAN SWEET POTATOES !?!!??!!, and she pushed me out of the way. I was a bit taken back and said to myself JUST LET IT GO, ITS CHRISTMAS AND SHE IS PROBABLY JUST OVERWHELMED. iT was as if a light bulb went off in her head and she said, OH MY GOD, I AM SO SO SO SO SORRY, I WAS NOT THINKING. PLEASE FORGIVE ME. I GOT SO EXCITED BECAUSE THIS WOMAN I FOLLOW ON MY COMPUTER HAS ME SO EXCITED TO TRY THESE THINGS AND I CAN NEVER FIND THEM. I smiled and said, Thats funny that is how I was introduced to them and I am really enjoy them. She asked if the smaller or larger are best. I told her I get the large because I make for more than one meal. She then said I think I will write to Lulu to tell her I am going to have HER FAVORITE JAPANESE POTATOES ! I did a neck whip.......DID YOU JUST SAY LULU, like in the video LULU'S WAY??????? She looked at me in shock. YES, I LOVE HER and she began dancing and singing your song ! lmao She said COME ON and wanted me to dance in Market Basket. No offense Lulu, but not in Market Basket. lol It seemed weird enough to stand their watching her as people as their "this woman is crazy" look on their faces. And, there I was beaming at how great she sang and danced. lol The womans name is Deb and she is a true fan, watches your videos, at least twice for each, learned your entire dance & song, and has learned the CUP SONG in case she ever comes across Lulu & the Girls. lol I do hope she wrote you. 8 grandchildren ages 4-15, provides us a fantastic life. 4 years ago, we agreed it was time for each of the 3 families to build their own Christmas traditions and memories. As a child, I hated spending Christmas with other friends and family. I hated letting the other girl play with my new dolly. (May have been a brat to feel that way?) so I vowed that my grandbabies would get their day at home with all their new gifts. I don’t regret giving them that joy. Papa and I manage our own celebration even though it’s very quiet! The family usually gathers a few days before or after for the day. The cousins are very close and love time together. This year (our 53rd Christmas) was spent with Papa in the hospital for 3 days with a blood clot. It was horrific with pain, decisions, and separation. We survived, he is home, on medication and we will all be together on Dec 28th, to celebrate God’s goodness and wonderful warm feeling of family together! Blessings on your trip, Lulu. We are camp hosts at Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Florida. We are about five hours south of our family. They asked us to stay and help for December. So…..here we are without any of our Christmas stuff and we are leaving early on Friday. You know we are busy packing the RV and doing laundry etc. My daughter travels with us (she has MS) and we laughed last night as I gave her our Christmas napkins. That was the extent of our decor. We drove around this beautiful town of Jupiter, Florida and admired all the lights. I think they have decorated every palm tree in lights! A different Christmas season, but a fun and peaceful one. I volunteered in a church not my own and sang in their choir for their Christmas Eve Service. Then for the first time I spent Christmas with my son, daughter in law and her family and my grandchildren. Such a wonderful time. I know you had a wonderful time with your family too. Lulu as always the food looks great. My youngest daughter and I celebrated Christmas with my middle daughter and her husband and 3 children last week. Christmas eve the youngest and I watched Christmas movies and then on Christmas day we shared it with our little community of friends from the apartments we are in, along with our landlord. We ate T-bone roast (something I've never had before), mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing and pumpkin pie. We had a good laugh over my ingredients in the pie. It calls for evaporated milk and I grabbed the wrong can and dumped jn sweetened cond. Milk. I said oops stirred it in anyway and it made the richest, creamy pie I've ever made. It was Delish ! (LOL) Happy New Year and still looking forward to meeting you in the near future of 2025. Blessings to you dear lady.

I have a friend who was raving about them this summer at her summer place. Outdoorsy gal always outdoors hiking along with anything nature. but she said she came across this author and cannot put these books down. In fact, I am on her loan list to read any of the ones she has, but I'm way down on the list. Seems everyone is loving them. Think I just better go buy one. 😅 You might get an Audio book of hers to listen to in your travel down to Florida. It appears on Amazon that any of her books are amazing! And my Christmas perfect! Went with my son and his family to Cd'A, Idaho to Journey to the North Pole onboard Lake Coeur d'Alene Cruises. Always so much fun my grandkids, but the adults too. Especially to hear Santa read their names that they made it to the good list, when we arrive at our destination the North Pole. You would think we were in Disneyland for all the lights they have at the resort, as well as on the lake, and the North Pole, they do a beautiful job. Just a piece of my Christmas. ❤🌲 Safe Travels🚙
