So many people ask the organizers of the sphere about it. But for some reason they arrange a show of all kinds of pop shit there. ((

Wow! Just wow! Sakamoto was fabulous in the part of Captain Yanoi in the film "Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence/Furyo". I am so glad that Kraftwerk played it as the instrumental version, even though I am a big David Sylvian fan ❤ Gut gemacht Kraftwerk!

Thank you! Just saying: after tribute to Sakamoto it 'd be so acceptable if Radioactivity' also mentioned Rokkashyo Plant. Mr. Sakamoto had been leading 'Stop Rokkashyo' movement for almost two decades; and after all activists' exertions the most monstrous plutonium plant in the world is still not in service, 30 year after its building was started

A bit too late for this he died so he can’t see this…. Like how Ryuichi Sakamoto was crazy about Kraftwerk back in the days.

'Das Model' and 'Sex Object' are the worse Kraftwerk pieces, for me. 'Das Model' especially is utterly misogynistic and sounds very American. Machines don't talk about sex so 'Sex Object' seems like a filler that doesn't go with anything else in the record. Two mistakes.
@joseantoniogonzalezmoncada15582 ай бұрын
And then?
@KanalvogtSG2 ай бұрын
You're mistaken. The lyrics of The Model are just a reflexion of the average female model from the perspective of the lyrical speaker. I don't know what makes you interpret The Model as a misogynistic song, but in comparison to the agendas that many male influencers push, this is nothing. Kraftwerk's music isn't primarily about machines, but everyday life of which machines are a part of. During the Italian leg of the 1981 tour, Wolfgang got intimidated during a visit by an actor called Helmut Berger. The flirt ended with a gift of a pair of shoes which Wolfgang politely declined. This is how Kraftwerk came up with the idea of Sex Object.
