Happy Christmas! I went into Feeder's Pet Supply last Thursday and all the guinea pigs were gone! They had signs on the aquariums that read that more were on the way. You are definitely doing a good thing!!

That's not good. You should tell them that they should work with rescues. Unless I am misunderstanding. Are they for adoption or are they part of a chain of breeding?

I shudder to think what would have happened to a baby guinea pig which had breathing problems, in a pet shop, when I saw her on the 30th December last year. I bought her and her sister and now they're fully grown, happy and healthy. Those of us who do that are not heroes but we're not demons either. Merry Christmas to all at LAGPR.

Thank you for saving them. It's important to tell Pet Shop owners that they have sick animals and not to support breathing but instead to work with rescues

@ScottysAnimals Thanks Scotty. I take that on board 👍. The pet shop was closing that day for the New Year holiday. In a big cage on the floor. The pet shop staff probably wouldn't have noticed little Penny's head nodding because of her laboured breathing. I only found her because Amazon couldn't deliver my hay before the holiday and I went in there to buy some. She and her sister are in good health now.

This made me smile. Merry Christmas 😃 I lost my 2 1/2 year old guinea pig Luna to Leukaemia on Christmas Eve. It was so sudden found out the morning she was gone by the evening. There was nothing they could do as it was so bad. She was slipping away by the hours. So heartbroken as is my autistic daughter her guinea pigs are her world. 💔

@@ScottysAnimals I’m very glad to hear you liked this. It seems the Piggie may be your spirit animal! Also, there is a lot of information about South American cultures such as Peruvian indigenous people that trusted the Guinea Pig to help them understand the place of the body where a person was having trouble or could sense the electromagnetic sensitivity of the earth or of things around them… So if you’re piggies act up they are definitely sensing something in their environment. They are sacred animals to them and the Peruvian pigs (and of course all pigs) are so gorgeous😊
