Legend has it that the wild hog community of Australia lives in constant fear of a canoe and ATV dwelling demon they call "stu". Mate, you are the greatest hog hunter on this planet. Good question mate. Many years ago I went to the gunshop to actually buy a 270 as that is Dads fav cal. However, the shop assistant showed me a left handed Ruger in 30/06. I bought it mainly due to the left handed bolt, ha.

Hi mate, I owned a 243 Win for many years, actually bought it off my father. It is a mighty round for it's size. However, if there is a choice between the 243 and 308 the 308 wins hands down. Stopping power, choice of 30cal projectiles and readily available in those out of the way shops if you need a pack of rounds in the middle of a hunt.
