your absolutely right wesley. i started with a dx4e and within a month i was shopping for a new radio when i was getting another plane. Well 3 years later i invested in a dx8 gen 2 and i love it. when it needed service i bought the newest style dx6 and keep it for a spare , the only setback is i cant use all the functions on the newer edfs with safe, flaps, gear etc but it worked out great and keep that for a spare. loving my dx8 gen2. fits all my needs and when i have a few extra bucks the ix12 is where im going . anybody who plans to get a few planes will not be happy with the 4e or 6e for that matter. thre lipo bateries are great and the voice helps newer pilots immensely because you dont have to take youre eyes off the plane. i do also love the dx9 black edition. that might be where i go next lol.

Great video...I have the Dx 8 Gen 2 and love it, if I had to get a new one would go with the 12 due to more channels and features but don’t really need them right now.

Now they have the NX radios, thinking I will get an NX8 between the holidays and spring...DX6i did me well for over a decade... and now I need 7ch for Warbirds woth flaps, retracts, and safe... so for $40 more the 8ch seems like the ticket... don't see needing 10ch or the hall effect gimbals....

🌏🐨 my 8 channel tx .came with 4 servos. tx battery . rx. $800 3 weeks wages.early 1970. 4 toggles. i now have ix20 $2100. fantastic. Keith Australia

I have the old dx6i, the DX6, but love my DX9 the best, the Gimbals on it are glass smooth

Hey, where is the DX9, my radio of choice? Also, I really wouldn’t have anything less than the DX8 if I’m going to be in the hobby for any length of time. You end up needing those extra channels by your third of fourth bird. Good overall video about the differences though!

David Kristy it’s more for someone just getting into the hobby the dx6e is a good first radio I was trying to keep it cost effective for guys getting into the hobby but I agree the 8 is a great radio

The other reason I didn’t add the 9 in the list if your that serious to look at a 9 why not pay $100 and get the ix12? The dx9 black was an awesome radio but at $479 your only $100 away from way more features

What wouod u use the knob-slider for? Genuinely curious, looking to get an NX8, as it is only $40 or so more than an NX6... my DX6i has served me well for a good bit over a decade... The 8ch might be a touch more future proof than the NX6... and has a knob...

Depending on what your paying for it I would probably recommend getting an NX radio I believe the DX7 doesn’t have diversity

@@MerryBoozerRC thanks for the prompt reply, im from the uk the guy is asking £70 for it with charger and carry case, he says its only been used a handful of times, thanks for your recommendation i will look into it, i dont really want to buy something if im wasting my money, thanks again!
