Great video My wife and I shall be visiting Liverpool soon, so I am now busy trying to plan our itinerary. A trip on the River Mersey is obviously essential, but I am a bit puzzled. I thought the ferry just went back and forth over the river, from Liverpool to Birkenhead, much like the ferry over the Tyne, near where I live, but it seems there are only river cruises now, taking an hour
@monirasvloguk Жыл бұрын
Yeah you are right this ferry went back and forth over the river but if you want you can get down other side.

@@peterwilliamskelhorn6675 Thanks .. we actually bought a Saveaway ticket which was valid on the ferry, buses and trains for a day. We took the ferry to Seacombe, then the bus to Hamilton Square, then a train back over to Liverool central. We used the Saveaway ticket for several other journeys too .. a bargain at £6 (all zone option)
@peterwilliamskelhorn66755 ай бұрын
@@brianmorrison9168 i know about saveaways. We used to use them. But we use taxis now

@@mountwood2002 Ha Ha good reply are we in a foreign country reading or trying to read the comments I gave up. One of the original ferry boats rotted away some where london way no body bothered to restore it.

Music is dreadful should have played the traditional ^ Ferry Across the Mewsey^ The Pier Head is ruined you used to walk along a massive landing stage quite a long way. Got ruddy dreadful buildins put up obliterating the Liverpool sea front. Take me back in time when we had the proper Pier Head hate going any where now in my old home town of good old Liverpool.
