Mr Seilen Haokip is really knowledgeable as well as very eloquent in his speaking and it is an honor to have him to speak of our issues. Political discourse should always be based on facts and rationality which is what he always does, and not within one's own interest or agenda for political mileage like the other community(I won't mention it). And also given the fact that the CM is still in his position after everything that has surfaced speaks volume of who is in the right and who is not. The Kukis are demanding their political rights and they're more than qualified for the Government to do something about their demand. This is high time to remind all the 545 MPs on the floor of the parliament that Manipur was merged with india with an agreement called Merger Agreement in I949 between two sovereign countries india (then india free from British paramount) and Manipur (free from British paramount) . This is to remind to protect territorial integrity of Manipur and Manipur as an integral part of india retaining the shape and size of Manipur of 1949. This is also demanding to respect the international law such as one Uti possidetis juris or uti possidetis iuris (Latin for "as [you] possess under law") is a principle of international law which provides that newly formed sovereign states should retain the internal borders that their preceding dependent area had before their independence. It should ne noted the differences between JK &Manipur. JK under instruments of accession after dissolving sovereignty and Manipur and Tripura under merger agreement (then sovereign nation/state) At the same time the state assembly too can take this resolution challenging article 3 by this merger agreement of 1949.
