Recorded at a Mescalero Roast a few years ago. This IS the (Mescalero) Apache War Dance. Recording goes to original singers and to credit to the Mescalero Apache People. Thank you.

As a Native American this makes me proud of our culture, but as an Apache, I find this simply beautiful.

It's wonderful to see the youth reclaiming their ancestry and music with bands such as Tribe called Red and the few Native Folk metal bands, but I haven't found anything just for Apache's yet. This War dance our Ancestors did was beautiful and aggressive yet nobody is doing it these days. Music is a great way to preserve our language...if I had music I could relate to when I was younger I could probably speak it now and teach MY son. Where is our Apache bands at? come on!

Because im not focusing on dancers, im focusing on the Mescalero themselves. I wanted to show all types of dancers, and normal people too. I want to capture the true essance of the people.

The Apaches welcome you All warriors are the strength of their clans that exist as part of the Apache Nation as a whole going all the way to original apache bloodlines on our traditional territory. That line doesn't exist all the families in our territories are of Apache Bloodlines that survived the American attacks against us during the closure of the Apache Wars .Their all Americans

The song is correct, but why show the Crown Dancers -- Gaan -- who dance to bring harmony in ceremonies like the Sunrise Ceremony? It is confusing to those who don't know the difference.
@apachepride2712 жыл бұрын
You do know that this is Mescalero War Dance Song not a crown dancer song?? I have no idea why you put crwon dancer pictures for a war dance song!? The crown dancers have thier own songs!!

Only being Half Shish-Inday unlike my mother and grandpa, I try to preserve as much knowledge as I can. I still practice simple traditions and hope to get registered. I don’t want money, but I’d like to be accepted by the council.

The Mescalero, Apache War Dance is very interesting for this is the first time I've seen this. The Videos you bring to me has much knowledge, and spirit from the Old Ways. Will I get to see your People at the Great Gathering in New Mexico this year? I was granted this Gift. It would be my Honor experience this, of which is one of my request from my family. The more I share with All of you the Stronger my Spirit becomes. Thank you, With Much Love, Aloha! Nai'a

No need to pretend they were kind and sweet. Survival was tough and the Apache tribes including Mascalero were known for a hunting and raiding lifestyle and legendary for resisting impossible odds to maintain freedom. All respect.

Apachepride27 why do you have to be a stickler over what dance goes with what? I notice that many Indian brothers have major hangups over how dances are sang or done. You sound just like the religious leaders of Jesus time. Why cant you just accept the Song for what it is? Its the feeling of the song and the meaning behind it that is important!!
