It isn’t. Bad tuning. This is horrible in half of the performance. The cello doesn’t mesh with the recording. If there was only cello, this would sing. It does not. It grates.

I only play guitar but it "looks" to me like he's almost bouncing the bow, like a drumer does with controlled ghost notes? It May be harder to play on a guitar still but look crazy here cus it's unexpected? Idk tho?

@@brazenatheist1676 I played cello for years, I can tell you a few things. The cello is played with more of a full arm movement whereas a violin is a lot more wrist movement. Also, I assume he has so much rosin near the base of his bow so it is sticky enough to chug really quickly, staccato is sort of like bouncing so the extra grip there helps with it. I'm just assuming, I'm years out of practice. This was beautiful to find and watch.

i'd hazard a guess playing both instruments, this is actually easier on cello than guitar because a bow bounce is literally the rhythm of the song so it's significantly less stress on your hand.

Well for one, I'm pretty sure this marks the first time I've heard a cello with distortion so points for that. I knew this could be done, but what I wasn't prepared for was how much I was going to want the rest of an orchestra behind it. I can hear the brass section in the back of my head whilst you're playing and it's awesome. Great job, dude.
