@@locust7777 Opinions are subjective thoughts, not facts. I've listened to all their albums and over the years, they've only improved...both technically and cetainly, musically. This doesn't necessarily make an album better, but it does speak to an increase in skill, even if someone doesn't like the way a particular song/album sounds. "I am that thirst" is just one more step in their evolution. Personally, I do think it is one of their better songs There are a few songs from each album that can make that claim. This is one of them, but feel free to think otherwise. Unfortunately, over the last 35 years of listening to metal, I've found that fans of a band often get stuck in a particular era (such as old school Metallica fans thinking "Kill em' All" was their best album; LOL), and therefore, they view any departure from the sound of their favorite album as a regression, rather rhan a progession. Sure, some bands get worse with time (not usually) and many bands have a particular record that stands out from the rest, but Meshuggah falls into no such category. Aside from their very first album (which objectively wasn't as good as future albums), every Meshuggah album has been good. Take your pick. They all have something different to offer.
