Mesmer fanboy and long time Wheel Scene watcher here. Note that the TS1 and TS2 models also have the second skin type liner, the U-cut, the cuff stopper, the modified soulplate plastic, the extra lace hole and part of the new sizing. The TS2 also have the Kizer Supreme buckle and updated liner laces compared to the TS1. What's actually changed on the Levi pro skate compared to the TS1 and TS2 is they tweaked the sizing a bit further and the shell/cuff material has more flex, but other than that it's basically a TS2 with a different colour. Another point is that the forward flex with the buckle only retaining your shin was made on purpose, Levi explained that in his interview with Thisissoul. It does leave a "love it or hate it" impression, but as you said, there are ways to get around that if you prefer having less forward flex. Other than that, I totally agree with you on the quality and look of these skates. The complete model is spot on with an excellent price/quality ratio, the Kizer Fluid V does an amazing job and the wheels are really solid. I recommend you try them with the FRxOysi frames and stock Mesmer wheels, this setup is absurdly fun. I'll add that the soulplates are absolute sorcery, that backslide groove and rear "soul blocks" indeed make you feel like you're grinding on melted butter. They also grind super fast compared to other skates like the Them 909. The one last thing I want to mention to end this behemoth of a comment is the silicone layer that sits between the soulplate and boot. Thanks to this very smart design, the Mesmers are - in my opinion at least - the skates with the best sound and feeling on the market right now. Thanks for another very good video, keep posting and skating, you rock!

Great review as always, and great skating. For previous Mesmer skates, there have been reports of a warped / not totally flat bottom of the soul plate so that the middle wheels sit a tiny bit further away from the ground, creating an anti-like feeling even on a flat setup. Do not want. It's difficult to tell, but from the skate resting on the table in your review, it seems that this might also be the case here. There appears to be a tiny gap between the middle wheels and the table surface sometimes while the outer wheels are touching. Might just be an illusion and of course there is no weight on the skate in this situation. But did you notice any of that while skating?
@wheelscenebladingАй бұрын
@@tobyschnabelhuber I definitely didn’t notice that feeling while rolling around and I’ve had that with other skates before, particularly the Blank SK, which gave me a train track feeling even with flat setup.
