When you look at Diana’s yodeling I would suggest Rechenka before yodel time. Rechenka is magical with a far greater range of techniques and voice qualities to interpret including her special yodel. She was just 14yo but truly delivered a world class and hauntingly beautiful performance.

This song was one of biggest hits of the 1990s in Russia. The original performer, Linda, sang the melody line virtually without inflections, as a deliberate artistic choice. Russia can be proud to have artists at this level. I know Diana for quite some time now. For us (westerners) are the techniques that she uses quite special. However, where she comes from it is more "normal". However, the level on which she uses these techniques is extra ordinary. Every time when I see and hear her perform she amazes me. She really goes deep into the music. This is true love for what she does.

Greetings from Scotland! A very strong performance isn't it! Diana performed 9 songs throughout this contest. All different genres and styles which Diana not only adapted to, but excelled at! Being (by far) the youngest contestant, Diana exploded into this contest with a rendition of an old Elvis song, SO different, it could easily qualify as a new song! This 18yo girl learned to interact with dancers, big productions, adapting to many different songs, amongst 8 very seasoned contestants! At the same time continuing to hold her own concerts, recording her album, even travelling to other countries at their request to sing! However, as Diana always does, she showed everyone that she was also a seasoned performer, winning the contest convincingly!
