Mesmerizing Waves | Moomba Max

Lost my nice box anchor yesterday and also forgot to unstrap my transom straps before launching …… but at least the water was absolutely amazing!

Wicked Wave! What are your setting and ballast fill %. I have an 2022 Max and I am having issues making surf speed I posted on Moomba Wakesurf Forum Looking for a bit of help from seasoned Max owners.

Hey there Cody. My setup is Wakemakers upgrade + 500 lbs of lead. I also sometimes fill an extra 750 lb bag but in this video it was just the Wakemakers amd lead. I had 100 lbs of lead under each rear bag, tucked back towards the rear wall. I have 300 lbs of lead spread he front portion of the bow under the cushions. When I fill the 750 lb bag I put it along the side of the long rear seat cushions on the side in the rear cockpit area and bias it towards whatever side I’m surfing which is 99% of the time on the regular side. I fill all ballast full and make sure the bags have no air. I highly recommend adding overflow venting if you can so that the bags don’t get air in them. I also added check valves so they drain completely like a prune. I don’t use Autowake other than to quickly check my pitch and roll. I typically shot for 9.5 pitch and 3.5 or more roll for regular side. Surf plates are usually at 60 for regular side and I try to keep my center wake plate no more than 15. My speeds are anywhere from 10.6 to 11.6 mph depending on the type of wave I want to ride that day. Hope that helps!
