From what I read, asbestos is naturally occurring and people can inhale fibers by simply walking into the grocery store. Professionals say there is no safe amount, but typically those that experience disease either: 1) were exposed to it gradually through years of occupation, 2) had been exposed to a relatively large amount at once. Either way, exposure is considered accumulative throughout life
